I bought the ortho mat bed for my older collie dogs- one is 11 and one is 12. They both love the beds and my older boy is on his most of the time. I can easily put cooling mats on top for warmer weather, and they are easy to clean. Highly recommend!
The Ortho Mat is an orthopaedic pet bed that features a water-repellent, tear-resistant ripstop canvas cover that is ideal for dogs who like to scratch or nest in their bedding. The reinforced, durable ripstop fabric is also well suited to outdoor patios and weather-prone areas, including parks and beaches, and is effortlessly easy to clean. Simply zip off the cover for easy machine washing and tumble drying.
Inside is a 100mm high convoluted orthopaedic Australian foam insert designed to relieve pressure points and to prolong the health of your pet’s hips and joints. It’s lightweight and allows air to flow, which is ideal for less mobile pets. The foam is treated with Ultra-Fresh antimicrobial treatment, which helps control dust mites and other household bugs that trigger allergies and asthma. It helps keep the foam fresher and cleaner for longer controlling unwanted odours caused by bacterial growth.
The Ortho Dog Mat is versatile and can also be used indoors or inside a kennel or crate and is especially suited to older or injured pets and those who suffer from hip dysplasia or arthritis.

It’s often used in making products for the outdoors such as sails, tents, sleeping bags, flags and banners to name a few. It will stand up well to dogs that are tough on their beds but it is not indestructible. If your dog chews or scratches destructively no soft dog bed will be a match for them.

Product Care:
Remove the cover, machine wash at 40c using mild detergent. Do not bleach, iron or dry clean. Cool tumble dry only. The foam can be spot cleaned as required.
