How to use the DOG-e-walk
Anti-leash pulling and training
1.Connect the DOG-e-walk (orientation of the speaker towards the dog) with the snap hooks between the leash and the dog.
2.Make sure that the DOG-e-walk is turned off during the first few walks, so that your dog gets used to the new weight of the leash and considers it as ‘normal’.
3.If you want to practise with your dog, switch on the DOG-e-walk. Before he or she starts to pull on the leash, start with the command: ‘Heel!’
4.As soon as the dog starts pulling on the leash, pull it back. Now the device releases an ultrasonic signal that increases/decreases according to the pressure on the leash. (The signal strength depends on how heavy the dog pulls.)
5.If the dog is coming back, reward it immediately by giving it a treat by praising or stroking.
Tips and tricks with the DOG-e-walk
1.The more you pay attention to your dog, the closer will be the relationship to it.
2.A busy dog is a satisfied dog. Do not always use the same strolling route. Create new incentives and let your dog meet new fellows. Maybe you will make interesting acquaintances too.
3.To figure out how sensitive your dog is, start the first practice with level 1 and adjust the level only on the next walk. So you prevent irritations.
4.Start with a slow and relaxed walk to let the dog get used to the DOG-e-walk.
5.Don’t repeat commands too often. Thereby you always give it the possibility for choice of action.
6.If your dog still ignores your commands increase the signal on the second time.
