FlySentry is a revolutionary new fly protection system that unites innovative design with proven, modern fly baits to create a complete, state-of-the-art solution. FlySentry is safe for use around children, household pets and all livestock, including prized horses and breeding cows.

Initially created for horse farms, FlySentry is perfect for barns, stables, riding rings, ranches and farms. It’s also ideal near food stores, restaurants and other potential fly habitats. FlySentry is effective, safe, easy to use, efficient, economical and environmentally friendly.

FlySentry has no moving parts, does not use electricity, and does not involve broadcast bait spreading or pesticide sprays.

The brainchild of veteran pest management professional Bill Spencer, FlySentry was created at the request of pest control customers. Horse farm owners often asked Spencer what could be done to get rid of flies—and he was inspired to develop FlySentry. Since flies feed between 6" and 42" above ground, Spencer created a device that exposes bait to the entire feeding zone, maximizing bait effectiveness.

FlySentry is designed for use with modern granular fly baits including Bayer Quickbayt (sold separately).

With a durable, high-impact structure, FlySentry is designed to hold baits attractive to flies but not pets, livestock and other animals. And the tamper-resistant design means even curious animals cannot reach the bait.

Mounting FlySentry requires just two screws on wood surfaces or a pair of zip ties on a metal pole. The bait cap snaps into place, requiring no tools.

FlySentry maximizes the impact of the fly bait used. While a brief rainstorm can wash away broadcast fly baits, FlySentry’s hooded design dramatically reduces bait waste.

FlySentry saves money by making more productive use of fly bait and minimizing the loss of bait to rain, wind and sun. And a FlySentry solution costs just a fraction of some chemical spray systems.


While FlySentry is a rugged, robust device made of high-impact plastic, it can be damaged if bumped by livestock. FlySentry is not responsible for damage resulting from such animal contact or other forms of misuse.

For best results it is recommended that the FlySentry is used in sets of 2 or more to create a circle of defence. For example, when creating a fly free zone around a typical horse barn of 4-8 stalls we recommend:

1-2 Regular FlySentry Units at the feeding area
2 Fly Regular FlySentry Units at each barn opening
2 Regular FlySentry Units for each protected paddock
