Grow your own! Cat grass, Cat Mint or Cat Nip. Easy to grow seeds.

Cat grass (Dactylis glomerata)
Cat grass is very easy to grow. It grows to about 15 cm in height, and cats are naturally attracted to it. Cat grass is the best grass for cats and is an important part of a cats diet. It provides essential nutrients and is a great digestive aid. This plant helps protect your cat from eating potentially harmful house plants. It assists with furball elimination and provides minerals and vitamins to the cats diet.
Packet 4 grams (approx 6000 seeds).

Cat Mint (Nepeta mussini)
There are several different types of cat mint, all with slightly different growing habits. Nepeta musinni however grows to a height of 30 cm and spreads to be about an 80 cm clump. This low growing perennial has grey-green leaves, which are coarse toothed and ovate, although the base leaves are heart shaped. Catmint flowers for long periods, though mainly through the warmer months. Catmint not only looks superb in any garden, it is said that it drives cats wild with lust, and also attracts bees. Fresh young leaves were once a popular salad ingredient and were used in herbal teas, although they are less popular now. Dried flowers and leaves are used in potpourri mixtures and in cat toys.

Catmint is basically a pest free plant, so you wont need to use nasty sprays. It does require a little water to give it the nice foliage. Once the low growing perennial has finished flowering, cut it back to promote a bushy growth habit and to promote new flowers. It prefers a full sun to partial shade spot in the garden. If it is grown in full sunlight, you do benefit from the aroma of this plant.

Packet 0.2g (approx 100 - 140 seeds)

Catnip (Nepeta cataria)

A native of Europe, catnip is a frost hardy perennial with branching, upright stems. If grown in ideal conditions, can reach a height of 1m. It has aromatic grey green leaves and whorls of 'white' flowers from late spring to autumn. Cats are attracted to this plant from its aromatic properties. A great idea for your cats (some dogs appreciate the smell as well) is to stuff a toy with the dried leaves. This is also a great idea for school markets.

You can also make a tea from the leaves which is said to have a relaxing effect.
Packet 0.40grams (approx 660 seeds)
