1. This promotion is conducted by Vet-N-Pet Direct Pty Ltd, ABN 76 851 238 708, trading as Vet-N-Pet Direct of 10 Paul Court, Jimboomba, Q 4280 (“Promoter”)
2. The Promotion is a game of skill in which chance plays no part.
3. Entry to the Promotion constitutes acceptance of these conditions. All entry instructions and prize information published by the Promoter form part of these conditions.
4. The promotion is only open to residents of Australia aged 18 years of age or older.
5. Employees and their immediate families of Vet-N-Pet Direct and the companies associated with this promotion are ineligible to enter.
6. The Promotion commences at 9am 1/10/2010 and entries close at midnight on 31/01/2011 in Brisbane. Voting closes at midnight 14/02/2011.
7. Entry to the Promotion can only be made via the internet. Entrants must visit the Promotion Page (“Promotion Page”) at www.facebook.com/vetnpetDIRECT and follow the directions there.
8. An entry comprises one photograph of a pet or pets of any age owned by the Entrant on the date that the entry is submitted.
9. Entrants must also submit all details requested including entrant’s first and last names, postal address, email address and the name of the pet uploaded in the entry.
10. Each entrants photo must:
a. Be original
b. Be of the entrants own pet/s.
c. Be uploaded in a format that complies with the requirements stated in the Promotion Instruction Page.
11. Only one entry can be submitted per registered email address. However households with more than one email address may enter more than one entry.
12. A photo may only be entered once and only by one entrant. If in the Promoters opinion two or more photos are the same (or are substantially the same), the Promoter may, in its absolute discretion, exclude one or more of the Entrants which submitted those photos.
13. All entries must be received during the entry period. The Promoter takes no responsibility for late or misdirected entries or for any delays or failures in the promotion website or other associated sites or technologies.
14. The Promoter may, at its absolute discretion, declare any or all entries made by an Entrant invalid (i) if in the Promoters opinion the entry or entries are not submitted in accordance with these terms and conditions; or (ii) if the Promoter has grounds to believe that the entries are stolen, forged, reconstructed, altered or tampered with in any way; or (iii) if in the Promoters opinion tampers with the entry process.
15. The Promoter may exclude any entry submitted if in the Promoters opinion the entry contains any material which may:
a. Cause offence to any person or groups of persons
b. Infringe the rights (including intellectual property rights, performers rights or rights of reputation) of any person
c. Promote or depict illegal or negligent activity
Determination of the Prize Winners
1. The Competition is a game of skill in which chance plays no part in determining winners.
2. Each entry will be displayed after the entry has been received and during the period from 9am 1/10/2010 to midnight (Brisbane, Qld, time) on 14/02/2011 (the “Voting Period”).
3. The final date for submission of entries is midnight 31/1/2011. The final date for voting is midnight 14/02/2011.
4. To submit a vote in the promotion, the eligible voter must visit www.facebook.com/vetnpetDIRECT, follow the prompts and vote in accordance with the directions.
5. During the Voting Period a voter may:
a. vote on multiple entries of their choosing
b. vote only once per individual entry
6. The Promoter may reject a vote (whenever it was submitted) if it reasonably forms the opinion that the vote was not submitted in accordance with the requirements of these terms and conditions.
7. At the end of each weekly period (Monday-Sunday) up to 25 prizes will be awarded to the entries that have achieved the most Votes during that weekly period and/or as determined by the vet-n-pet DIRECT sPETacular judging panel. Weekly prizes are each valued at $10 and take the form of a Gift Certificate which can be redeemed against a purchase made online or via telephone from vet-n-pet DIRECT. The first weekly period is 1/10/10 to 10/10/10 inclusive. The weekly prizes are for new entries submitted in a weekly period that receive votes during that same weekly period.
8. At the end of each monthly period (31/10/10, 30/11/10, 31/12/10, 31/1/11) a prize will be awarded to the entry that has achieved the most Votes during that monthly period. Monthly prizes are valued at $250 and will consist of goods and/or gift certificates to the specified value.
9. At the end of the Voting Period the top 50 Entries that receive the most votes will become the competition finalists. During the period 15/2/2011 - 21/2/2011 the vet-n-pet DIRECT judges will assess the finalists and award 1st, 2nd and 3rd prizes (“Grand Prizes”) to the 3 entries which they deem to be the most outstanding entries from the finalists. 1st Prize is valued at $2000, 2nd Prize is valued at $1500 and 3rd Prize is valued at $1000. Grand Prizes will consist of gift certificates to the specified value. Gift Certificates are not transferrable for cash.
10. All prize values are in Australian dollars.
11. Winners will be contacted via email and will be announced on the vet-n-pet DIRECT website by 28/02/11. If after all reasonable efforts a winner cannot be contacted by close of business 28/02/11, the Promoter may at its discretion select another entry to award that prize to.
12. If there is a tie in votes for the awarding of any prizes (weekly, monthly or grand prizes) , the Promoter in its absolute discretion will determine the winning entries from those tied entries based on creative merit. The Promoter’s decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
13. The results of the competition are final and no correspondence will be entered into.
General
1. Each entrant consents to the Promoter using their first name and entry (photo) in any media at any time without remuneration for the purposes of promoting this Promotion, the Promoter and/or any of the Promoters products.
2. Entrants personal information will be collected by or on behalf of the Promoter to enable it to administer the Promotion and publicise winners, and may be used to market other products and services of the Promoter to the entrant. Personal information will only be released to others where required for the conduct of the Promotion, including prize suppliers and deliverers and to regulatory authorities.
3. This promotion is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with, Facebook. You understand that you are providing your information to the Promoter and not to Facebook. The information you provide will only be used for the purposes as set out in these Terms and Conditions. Any questions, comments or complaints should be directed to the Promoter and not Facebook.
