For the treatment of Vitamin A, D3 and E deficiencies or by strategic use, to assist in the prevention of these deficiencies in cattle, pigs, and sheep, especially in young, growing and breeding animals.
ACTIVE CONSTITUENTS:
Each mL contains vitamin A (retinol palmitate) 500,000IU, vitamin D3 (cholecalciferol) 50,000IU, vitamin E (dl-alpha-tocopheryl acetate) 50IU.
MODE OF ACTION:
Vitamin A is essential for normal vision and for the integrity of epithelial cells. Vitamin D3 is necessary for parathyroid activity and normal metabolism of calcium, phosphorus and magnesium. Vitamin E assists in the regulation of oxidation processes in the body.
DOSAGE AND ADMINISTRATION:
By intramuscular injection into the anterior half of the neck in food producing animals.
Dose rates.
Adult cattle. 5 mL at least twice per year and 30 days prior to calving.
Calves. 1 to 3 mL during the first week after birth.
Sheep, goats. 1 to 2 mL at least twice per year.
Lambs. 0.5 mL as soon as possible after birth.
Pigs. 2 to 3 mL.
Sows: 1 injection on placement in the farrowing house and a second injection during the first week after farrowing.
Boars: 1 injection one to two weeks prior to the breeding season.
Piglets. 0.25 to 0.5 mL during the first week of birth.
