The Blue Planet Holiday Food Block is designed to automatically feed aquarium fish while you are away. It gradually releases food as it dissolves in the water, providing a consistent and healthy supply of nutrition for your fish for up to 14 days. This block is suitable for freshwater aquariums only and is ideal for tropical fish and goldfish.
When placed in the aquarium, the block slowly dissolves and releases small food particles that fish can eat. The dissolving process depends on the water’s pH level. Water that is too acidic will make the block dissolve faster, while water that is too alkaline will slow down the release of food. For best performance, the aquarium pH should be between 6.8 and 7.2.
This 20 g block is designed for tanks between 40 and 60 litres and will feed approximately 10–15 medium-sized fish for up to 14 days. It is not suitable for saltwater aquariums.
The block dissolves slowly when submerged. As it breaks down, small food particles are released into the water for fish to eat. Proper pH levels ensure the block dissolves at the correct rate.
