Cleansing shampoo for the control of fleas on dogs. Oatmeal soothes inflamed and irritated skin, and is specifically intended to help relive itchy dry skin. Active Constituents: Permethrin (40:60) CIS TRANS 10g/L Colloidal oatmeal 21g/L. Permethrin is a well known insecticide. It has an immediate knockdown effect, which limits the feeding time of the flea and the risk of flea allergy dermatitis from developing. Colloidal oatmeal acts like soap to break up particles of dirt to be rinsed away. In addition, the coating of microscopic oatmeal particles that remain on the skin after each application attracts particles of dirt which are lodged deeper in the pores of the epidermis. These oatmeal particles discourage the flow of moisture out of, and encourage the flow of moisture into, dehydrated skin. Directions for Use: Wet the coat thoroughly with warm water. Apply EctoSoothe (wear gloves) and rub until lather occurs. Allow lather to remain on skin for 5 to 10 minutes, then rinse and let dry. Repeat weekly. It is important that treatment is continued throughout the year. Can be used on puppies from 4 weeks of age.
