1. How to order.
Placing an order with Vet-N-Pet Direct is simple. Simply use the category headings to locate the product/s you are after or use the search function located at the top of each page. When you find an item you are interested in, click on 'Buy Now' or 'See Details' which will take you to the detailed product information page. The detailed product information page provides more information on the product and allows you choose various options for the product such as colour and/or pack size where applicable. The price displayed below the item will change according to the option/s selected. When you have selected the appropriate options, simply select the quantity you wish to purchase and then click on 'Add to Cart'. You can view the contents of your shopping cart at anytime by clicking 'View Cart'.
You are able to update quantities and delete items whilst viewing your cart.
2. How to complete an order (checkout).
When you are finished shopping at Vet-N-Pet Direct, simply click on 'Checkout' in the 'Your Cart' area located at the top right hand side of any page. You will then be guided through the checkout and payment process. You can cancel or change your order at any time prior to submitting your payment information.
Total costs, including shipping costs are displayed prior to any payment information being submitted to Vet-N-Pet Direct.
3. Payment methods.
Vet-N-Pet Direct accepts a variety of different payment methods including:
Credit cards including Visa, Mastercard, American Express, JCB Cards
PayPal;
Cheque/Money Order (Australian Customers Only);
Bank Deposit (Australian Customers Only);
Telephone/Fax with your credit card details
Please refer to our Terms and Conditions (located in the Help Section at the bottom left hand side of any page) for more information on making payments.
All payments must be made in Australian funds. All credit cards will be charged in Australian funds.
4. Currency.
All prices shown on www.vetnpetdirect.com.au are in Australian Dollars and all payments must be made in Australian dollars. All payments debited to your credit card will be in Australian dollars.
For the convenience of our international customers, we have included a direct link to a currency convertor provided by www.xe.com to give you an idea of the value of our products in your local currency. The link to the currency convertor is located in the Help section at the bottom left hand side of every page.
5. Shipping Charges for Australian Orders.
All orders for Australian customers are dispatched using Australia Post's e-Parcel system. This provides tracking information for your parcel and also requires a signature on delivery. Shipping charges are determined by the total weight of your order. Please refer to the following for the applicable shipping rates:
Orders weighing 0 - 1kg: $4.95 per order to anywhere in Australia.
Orders weighing 1kg - 3kg: $8.00 per order to anywhere in Australia.
Orders weighing over 3kg are charged at a flat rate of $8.00 per order, plus a per kilogram rate of $1.00 per kilogram
Local Area orders pay a minimum of $4.95 for orders up to 1kg and a maxiumum of $8.00 for orders over 1kg. Local Area is defined as shipping addresses located within the following Australian postcodes: 4000-4224; 4226-4299; 4500-4549. Please do not select this method unless you are located within these postcodes as your order will not be shipped until all additional postage charges are paid.
Product shipping weights are included in the item description for all products listed on vetnpetdirect.com.au. The listed shipping weight is the shipping weight that will be used to calculate your final shipping total. The listed shipping weight includes the net weight of the product and any associated packing material.
The total shipping weight and applicable shipping charge will be displayed at checkout prior to you submitting any payment information.
6. Shipping Charges for International Orders.
Three alternative shipping methods are available for international customers.
Regular Airmail (Uninsured), Regular Airmail (Insured) and Express Courier International. Airmail has an average delivery time of 7-10 working days ( not including weekend days and public holidays) but can be longer to some destinations.
Express Courier International has an average delivery time of 3-5 working days depending on destination.
Shipping charges are as follows:
Airmail (Uninsured): $8.50 per order, plus $20 per kilogram.
Airmail (Insured): $13.50 per order, plus $20 per kilogram.
Express Courier International (Insured): $35.00 per order, plus $20 per kilogram.
Product shipping weights are included in the item description for all products listed on vetnpetdirect.com.au. 7. Dispatch.
Orders are generally dispatched within 24 to 48 hours following receipt of payment for your order.
You will be notified of any item that is expected to take longer than 72 hours to dispatch (excluding weekend days and public holidays).
Customers have the option of canceling any part of their order that has been placed on back order with our suppliers and obtaining a full refund for that part of their order.
Any products subsequently supplied from back order are shipped at the expense of Vet-N-Pet Direct and no additional shipping charges are incurred by the customer.
8. Returns.

9. Customer Reward Points.

If you have received a coupon code to use for a discount in our store you will need to enter this coupon code prior to completing the checkout process for the store to be able to calculate your discount correctly.
Add the items you require to your shopping cart. Then click on the View Cart link at the top right hand side of the page. This will redirect you into your shopping cart where you can see all of the items you have added to the cart. If you scroll down to the bottom of the View Cart page you will see a box in which you can enter the coupon code. You only need to enter the coupon code once and then the store will automatically apply the applicable discount to your order total. When the coupon code has been entered correctly and submitted the shopping cart will refresh and you can see the coupon discount applied to your order totals. At present we can only accept one discount coupon code per order.
11. Troubleshooting: When I try to checkout, I have an empty Shopping Cart?
Your cart's "session" information is stored in your web browser's cookies.
Therefore you need to be able to accept cookies to place an order.
We use cookies to track your active shopping cart information.
If you are using Firewall Software like 'Zone Lab's Zone Alarm' or 'Symantec's Norton Internet Security' or 'Symantec's Norton Personal Firewall', you will need to configure it to ALLOW "Private Headers" and ALLOW "Session Cookies".
If you have your browser security level set to not accept cookies, you can manually add vetnpetdirect.com.au to your "accept" list. Here is how:
Internet Explorer
On the menu bar across the top click on TOOLS,
then INTERNET OPTIONS
Then click the PRIVACY tab.
Towards the bottom you'll see an area labelled SITES, click the EDIT button.
type in "vetnpetdirect.com.au" and hit ALLOW.
Then hit EXIT to exit out of that small menu.
Your browser will now be able to accept cookies from vetnpetdirect.com.au.
Please close out of your browser completely and then try and place your order from scratch.
Mozilla Firefox
