My bird is losing his feathers, any idea what might be causing this?

The cause of your bird losing its feathers might be that he is going through a Moult. This is a common and necessary process where birds loose their old and damaged feathers and replace them with new ones. For more information on moulting please read the article Moulting in Birds in our help centre.

If he is not going through a moult it could be caused by illness, parasites or even stress. If you don’t think it is a moult and you are concerned please take him to a vet to rule out parasites or illness.
