Great product - totally eliminates "cat smell" in the house. Only caveat is that it can be a little dusty.
We picked up Applaws Cat Litter for Charlie (our 8kg Ginger Maine Coon) about 6 months ago and has been nothing but a god send! We had noticed in the past that other kitty litters would eventually stop clumping after a week or two which would result in a strong odour coming from Charlie's litter tray resulting in a strong odour and a very distressed kitty! Now with Applaws we know it will clump till the litter bag is finished which is a huge relief. I highly recommend anyone who loves their cat as much as my wife and I definitely give this product a try. Personally we can't find a fault!
We decided to give this product a try after using clumping clay litters long term. We have also used crystal litters in the past before we decided that we prefer a clumping litter. This litter clumps until it is all gone unlike clay litters that stop forming clumps after a few days- a week and end up in a smelly, stinky, damp mess. There is no cat urine smell from the product- just a very earthy "wheat like" scent. Both of my cats seem to prefer it over the other litters we used to use in the past- I had 3 litter trays set up with different litters and both cats kept returning to this one. I love that this product has a use after the cats have finished with it, we just take the clumps outside and drop them in a flower garden, the walnut shells bread down and make a beautiful rich compost that the plants seem to love. I haven't put the used litter on anything edible though as I'm not confident that it would be a wise decision. The initial outlay can be a little expensive because you do need a fair bit to fill up all of the household trays but it works out cheaper in the long run because you don't have to replace the litter until it's all clumped and gone. This litter (we use 3 trays for 2 strictly indoor cats) and we don't need new litter for 3-4 weeks! I have recommended this product to all of my friends!!
