Lectade concentrate is what I call a "must have" item in your fridge if you have dogs.
They absolutely LOVE the taste, so if their sick, dehydrated or just run down, this product is a fantastic pick me up. We also use it in an eyedropper when made to the correct dilution on new born puppies, that just need a bit more to get them thriving. And on hot summer days.
Rang to enquire Lectade delivery times and options Queensland to Sydney and was advised if I had my order in by a certain time it would be despatched the same day. I was super happy and impressed when true to their word they did despatch that very day and having caught a break with Australia Post it was delivered the very next day. My little cavoodle Millie say THANKYOU!!!
We have a racing greyhound and this product is terrific in preventing dehydration and electrolyte deficiences.
Works but take a week or two before you start to see a difference in your pet.
Lectade Concentrate is an oral rehydration therapy containing a balanced mixture of glucose, glycine and electrolytes with the added advantage of being a non-antibiotic oral supportive treatment.
Once diluted the mixture of Lectade is isotonic, ensuring glucose and glycine are actively absorbed by the intestinal tract, causing water and sodium to be absorbed simultaneously with these nutrients and resulting in a high degree of rehydration in scouring and dehydrated animals.
Where specific disease control (ie. antibiotic therapy) is indicated, it can be administered in conjunction with Lectade.
Indicated for:
Diarrhoea
Dehydration
Post-surgical or disease convalescence
Concomitant treatment of viral or bacterial scours
Directions for Use:
For oral treatment only
Dilute 1 part concentrate with 11.5 parts water and give orally, following specific treatment for the condition indicated.
Most dogs find Lectade palatable and will drink it voluntarily.
Palatability for cats is variable.
Lectade may also be administered orally via syringe.
Continue treatment for 1 to 2 days after the animal appears clinically recovered and is feeding normally.
Lectade Solution can be used as the sole source of fluids during treatment.
The following doses of the diluted preparation are recommended, given 2 to 3 times daily:
Dogs
Miniature - 125mL
Small - 250mL
Medium - 500mL
Large - 750mL
Cats
125mL
Pack size: 250 mL bottle.
The 250mL bottle makes 3.125L of prepared solution when mixed according to the directions on the bottle.
