When the liver function is compromised, the exact cause can often be difficult to determine. Supporting the liver, regardless of the cause, is essential if function is to be improved.

PAW Denamarin is sold as adjunctive treatment for liver disease or dysfunction, such as the following:
  • Chronic hepatitis
  • Hepatic lipidosis
  • Cholangiohepatitis
  • Paracetamol toxicity
  • Corticosteroid use (Note: does not prevent corticosteroid induced hepatic vacuolar change)
  • Other acute or chronic hepatopathies, including hepatotoxins and neoplasia.

DOSAGE: Absorption of Denamarin is decreased when it is given with a meal. For optimal absorption, administer Denamarin at least one hour before feeding your pet. For owners who find it difficult to administer tablets to their pets, Denamarin tablet(s) may be disguised in a small bite of moist food. It is not necessary to withhold water from your pet when giving Denamarin.

In cats, tablets or capsules can stick in the throat instead of passing into the stomach. Therefore, cat owners should gently administer a small amount of water (ask your veterinarian for details) immediately following tablet administration to aid swallowing.

Denamarin tablets should not be broken as the enteric coating of the Denamarin tablet protects the active ingredient from destruction while in the stomach. The number of tablets can be gradually reduced or increased at any time depending on the pet's needs. When increasing or decreasing the dose, adjustments should be done in full tablet increments.

Many pets are maintained long-term on every-other-day or every-third-day administration.

Denamarin for large dogs

My dogs raised liver enzymes dropped hugely after she took this wonderful product. My cattle dog is fifteen years old. It was an amazing result. She has taken Denamarin for two years now. I highly recommend this product.

Great product

Our vet specialist recommended these tablets for our poor little dog who has been sick for over 12 months and is on long term dosage of prednisone which has unfortunately started to cause liver damage. He is now taking this supplement and is doing quite well - no vomiting or diarrhoea since starting them. Easy to administer. Working well so far!
