Junk

I wish I had read the reviews, as they sum up how bad this product is.
The whistle is all aluminium. The Chain is made of very fine, weak, aluminium links, so that was the first thing to break.
The Cover is thin, and after taking it off at a slight angle, it kept falling off.
The frequency adjustment is crude, and I can't see any difference in reaction from the dogs, but it does get a reaction, and they come to me.
I was going to get the Ajax whistle, but I have lost trust, as I don't know what it is made of, or it's quality.

Whistle? Yes. Silent? Far from it.

The Remington Deluxe Silent Whistle should be renamed the Remington Deluxe Ear-Piercingly-High-Pitched Whistle. Then I would have known not to buy it, for I was looking for a silent dog whistle. The dog can hear this very well (2 stars!), as can my 50 year old human ears. I dare say I will never use it again. Annoyed that I've wasted my money on a poorly named device.

Remington deluxe silent dog whistle

So far I have not been able to get the whistle to work as I expected.

1. the whistle is clearly audible to my ears even though I suffer moderate hearing loss.
2. Neither of my dogs (Cavalier King Charles Spaniels) show any reaction to the whistle.
3. Taking the cover off and adjusting the screw to change the frequency does nothing. The whistle, which as I said is clearly audible, does
not change frequency, and the dogs do not react to any position of the adjusting screw.

My conclusion is that the whistle is not frequency adjustable, and the frequency that is generated is too low.
Very disappointing I'm afraid.
