My cat is a good eater (mainly dry food) and loves Greenies treats however he turned his nose up at these. I thought he would like them but it was a waste of money buying these.
My cat is 13 years old and was starting to suffer from stiff and painful joints. It is often difficult to administer medication to cats, so when I read that SeaFlex was in biscuit form and very tasty for cats, I thought I would try it. The results are amazing - our cat doesn't seem to be in pain or have trouble with movement and looks much happier and healthier.
This might be a great product for cats that don't have bad arthritis to begin with. It might work well as a prophylactic but sadly it seems to be having very little effect for my 10 yr old girl after a week of taking it. She ate one morsel and then turned her nose up at them, but I've had no trouble crushing them with the back of a spoon and sprinkling it on her food, which she was eating without any trouble. Her condition hasn't improved and she's taking Meloxicam which has upset her stomach. None of this is necessarily the fault of the product. My girl might just be too far gone.
The Vet prescribed SeaFlex for my 17year old cat's arthritis. I give her 6 a day and this creates a few moments of special routine for her during her day. She loves them and purrs. I do not know whether they have an impact on her arthritis but buy them nevertheless.
