My two 5yo boys aren't really interested. I think the mechanical noise is the problem. It's quite a shame as they enjoy chasing a hand held red dot. I even put a hood over the pointer as it seemed they were looking at the pointer rather than the red dot on the floor, but to no avail. Perhaps it's better suited to kittens.
