ProfeLAC GOLD is a medicated calf milk replacer specifically formulated to meet the essential needs of calves. It consistently performs in all calf rearing systems including intensive calf rearing operations, saleyard calves and calf sheds under pressure where the risk of disease is high.
Suitable for rearing all dairy and beef breeds for the start of lifetime performance.
BENEFITS:
• Application – easy to mix; convenient all-in-one product.
• Performance – prevent and control coccidiosis; improve gut health to reduce scours; improve calf condition and growth rates.
Precautions:
NOT TO BE FED TO DOGS, HORSES OR OTHER EQUINE SPECIES.
Accidental consumption of lasalocid or monensin medicated feed should be avoided. May prove fatal if fed to equids.
DO NOT FEED TO NEWBORN CALVES WITHIN THE FIRST 24 HOURS OF LIFE.
Excessive consumption of ionophores or use within first 24 hours of life may result in ionophores toxicity in young calves. Concurrent use of milk additives that contain ionophores (lasalocid or monensin) should be avoided or carefully monitored.
Directions for Use:
MIXING GUIDELINES
CALVES
To make 2L of ProfeLAC milk feed at 125g per Litre mix rate:
Add 250g (~ 2 metric cups) of ProfeLAC powder to 1L of fresh, clean warmed water to 38-40°C (Body Temperature).
Mix until dissolved.
Add water to bring volume to 2L, then feed to calves.
FEEDING GUIDELINES
COLOSTRUM FEEDING
Feed good quality first colostrum soon after birth – follow industry best practice.
If first colostrum is not available feed ProfeSTART Colostrum Supplement.
POST FIRST COLOSTRUM FEEDING
Where practical, offer a 50:50 blend of colostrum/transition-milk and milk replacer for several feeds before switching to a complete milk replacer feed. Abrupt dietary changes may cause gastric discomfort in infant animals.
For Calf feeding guidelines see attached table.

The Big Softy makes all the other ‘gravity’ calf teats obsolete. With gravity feeders, (where the milk level is higher than the teat), two issues arise. First is preventing leakage through the teat, and second is whilst preventing leakage still enabling the calf to suckle freely. The Big Softy achieves both these ends. The tip design does not leak, even after substantial use, and yet the tip opens freely as soon as the calf begins suckling.
The Big Softy will fit all feeders with 22mm (+/-1mm) teat holes. It is equally suitable for hand-held bottle feeding, or for top-teat tube delivery feeders.
Features:
• Soft tip no drip design
• Works in gravity & bottle feeders
• Fits 22 mm teat hole feeders
$32.95
"Speedy Feeder" 3-speed calf feed bottle. Now, when you get a real fast sucker, switch to "Fast" and let him go for it. When you have a weak premature-born calf, needing careful feeding, switch to "Stop"
or "Slow" and let him take milk as he can cope, without drowning. The three speeds control the air inlet to the bottle, and thus the milk outflow. Reduce time wasted on speedsters and prevent drowning weaklings, all using the same bottle and teat.
The "Speedy Feeder" also features an intelligently designed bottle with multi-directional easy-grip hand hold. The teat is mounted low in the cap to empty the bottle contents completely. The wide diameter neck ensures easier filling and cleaning, and the coarse-thread cap is quick and easy to fit.
The wide base gives the bottle maximum stability when standing. Try one today - you will love it!
Capacity 2.5 litres which is a recommended feed quantity for a Friesian bull calf, twice per day.
See image below.
