The Serenity Biochemical Sponge Filter adds oxygen to the water while supporting colonisation of bacteria to assist with the breakdown of harmful waste like ammonia. It will provide the fish with a cleaner living environment.

Sponge filters are particularly useful for breeding tanks or as a secondary filter in regular aquariums.

The secret behind the extraordinary effect of EHEIM SUBSTRATpro+O2xygen lies in the gemstone mineral tourmaline it contains. Thanks to its unique pyroelectric properties, it generates electron-activated oxygen (super oxygen O2-) on contact with water, which optimises the oxygen supply in the filter substrate and creates ideal conditions for filter bacteria. This stimulates the metabolic processes in the aquarium and activates the vitality of fish, plants and the entire aquatic ecosystem.

Efficient removal of pollutants - the spherical structure enables a high bulk density and makes optimum use of the available filter space. The JUWEL fine filter sponge is primarily used for the biological filtering of your aquarium, making it an essential component of the JUWEL filter system.

The fine pore structure gives a very large surface area, guaranteeing slow and even water flow conditions. This means that it is particularly suitable for biological filtering in the an aerobic area.

The open pores of the JUWEL filter sponge were made without the use of chemicals, meaning that there is no residue.

JUWEL Poly Pad is used to catch coarse particles of dirt in the water. As a mechanical pre-filter, it protects the filter from rapid soiling and means that you don't have to clean the other filter media as often. JUWEL filter floss consists of fine, residue-free polyester material and is suitable for use in both saltwater and freshwater aquariums. It comes in three sizes, in packages of up to 5.

Bioscape Tropic's Velocity range of internal power filters is designed to keep your fish tank water clean and healthy for your fish.

Suitable for freshwater and saltwater.

Contains the following media:
Black Foam: to remove dirt and debris.
Activated Carbon: Removes chlorine, tannins and phenols harmful to fish.
Phosphate Pad: Removes phosphate that results from uneaten food, plant debris and fish waste. All can cause unwanted algae growth.

The filter also includes an air inlet pipe and regulator which can be optionally attached to the outflow to increase the oxygenation of the tank water.

To change the filter media, the filter can be taken apart in segments and the old media swapped for new.

As a guide to media replacement frequency, the manufacturer suggests:

• Activated carbon every 6-8 weeks
• Phosphate pad (green) every 4 - 6 weeks
• Black sponge used until no longer hold shape.

The EHEIM pickup is a small practical filter with a special concept.



The special thing about the concept of the pickup  is that the filter canister together with its cartridge can be removed from above, while the pump unit remains in the tank. This is a very practical solution for cleaning or changing the filter cartridge.

The pump sucks in the water from below and carries it through the filter cartridge to the top. Here the filtered water is directed back into the tank via the rotatable outlet nozzle.



The filter is simple to attach in the tank with suction cups.

The Carbax filter medium sets new standards in aquarium filtering with active charcoal. Shrimp safe, Basis Power.Cleanse XL is a supreme quality, high activity synthetic filtration resin particularly selected for sensitive marine or freshwater aquarium environments.

Power•Cleanse XL contains huge numbers of mesopores and macropores suited to adsorption of a wide range of organic pollutants with zero impact on trace minerals and pH.

Power•Cleanse XL is a water polisher and will remove stains, dissolved organics and toxic gases in marine, brackish and freshwater systems. It will outperform carbon in many environments and is more economical because it can be regenerated. It turns brown or shades of yellow indicating exhaustion and need for regeneration. It is regenerable over and over again for a minimum of 2 years in normal use.
