Awesome
For those difficult horses who we can’t use normal paste wormers on wonderful !!
My mare will not take conventional wormers, so this is a great product for my fussy mare
Way transaction
My horses, who tend to be fussy about additives to their food, all ate this in their regular feed with no issues at all.
It's a very economical way to treat and easier for those hard-to-worm horses.
Abbey Animal Health EASYMEC is an In Feed Broad Spectrum Wormer and Boticide for Horses.
EASYMEC is for the treatment and control of roundworms (including arterial larval stages of Strongylus vulgaris and benzimidazole resistant small strongyles), bots, and skin lesions caused by Habronema and Draschia spp. (summer sores) and Onchocerca spp. Microfilariae (cutaneous onchocerciasis).
EASYMEC™ WORMER is formulated in palatable granules which are readily accepted by horses.
Composition: 6g/kg Ivermectin
Features & Benefits:
Restraint:
Not recommended in unweaned foals less than 6 months of age.
Contraindication:
This product is not recommended for use in foals, due to risk of incorrect dosing and subsequent adverse outcomes. Avoid consumption of product by dogs.
Directions for Use:
1 x 17.5g sachet per 350kg
Weight of horse | No. of 17.5g sachets |
350kg | 1 |
700kg | 2 |
Mixing directions:
Mix the entire dose as per dose rate table above with feed to achieve recommended dose rate of 300μg Ivermectin/ kg liveweight. Ensure mixing of entire dose by removing bridle before treatment and preventing spillage or dropping of product during feeding. If the horse does not eat all the medicated feed due to palatability issues, add a small amount of pre-mixed feed or grain (up to 1 kg) with addition of sweeteners such as molasses, sugar, honey to the remaining feed and mix together and offer to the horse again, until the entire dose is consumed.
Failure to consume the entire dose of product may result in decreased efficacy.
If horse continues to refuse to eat their medicated feed consisting of EASYMEC WORMER, then the treatment needs to be discontinued and another treatment should be considered.
MEAT WITHOLDING PERIOD (HORSES):
DO NOT USE less than 28 days before slaughter for human consumption.
Pack Size: 4 x 17.5g Sachets
