These are both common sharks in Australia caught using sustainable practices with quota’s strictly managed by the Australian Fisheries. They are declared as least concern by the IUCN (International Union for Conservation of Nature). They are very common in our Australian waters and not endangered. No threatened shark species used in CLEAR Dog products.
Firstly, please also note that these fish are primarily caught for human consumption. Often referred to as flake in fish and chip shops, CLEAR Dog mainly use the non-human consumption leftovers which would otherwise be discarded. Therefore nothing is wasted. Secondly, endangered sharks are not caught to use just their fins, tails or skin for dog products! In conclusion, CLEAR Dog use the leftovers of common sustainably fished Australian shark used for human consumption.
