Poseidon Digestive RP is a total tract equine gut supplement, designed to meet the needs of high performance sport horses and racehorses. Digestive RP provides increased support for your horse's gut health and essential digestive and immune functions, with extra postbiotics and enzymes to enhance digestion efficacy, and additional amino acids for additional muscle repair and gut support.
This premium equine gut health product offers the benefits of:
• extra digestive enzymes for improved digestion and nutrient uptake,
• extra dual action stomach pH buffering with red marine algae and magnesium hydroxide,
• prebiotics plus a higher level of post biotics for extra gut protection and repair,
• five amino acids for stomach health and cell repair,
• an updated magnesium to calcium ratio to ensure optimum absorption and metabolisation levels
• and Elitox mycotoxin binder.
Why choose Digestive RP?
The gut of high performance sport horses and racehorses is often put under a lot of pressure, with more challenging environments, higher workloads, more 'stress' events, and higher grain levels in their feed regimes. These conditions create challenges we need to manage well, in order for a horse to maintain healthy gut function, and be able to race or perform at its best.
Digestive RP has been created to help these high performance horses, and horses on higher grain diets maintain normal gut health and function. It provides extra support compared to DigestiveEQ, to support these horses with their more challenging than ‘normal’ environments, workloads and feeding regimes.
Look for the signs of good gut health in your sporthorse or racehorse - glossy coat, good energy and performance levels, healthy hooves, calmer behaviour, good appetite, good manure, great topline and overall condition.
Poseidon Digestive EQ is a complete fore & hindgut digestive product designed to support the digestive & immune systems of the horse with the added benefit of enzymes, amino acids & antioxidants.
Is your horse suffering from weight loss, performance issues, lack-lustre hoof health, dull coat condition, excitable or sour behaviour, restrictive movement, girthiness, or issues like recurrent colic, gastric ulcers, tying up or laminitis? These might be due to an unhealthy gut (both fore and hind).
Benefits of Digestive EQ:
• Digestive EQ is designed to support the digestive and immune systems of your horse.
• Its unique formulation is designed to assist with foregut and hindgut digestion, inflammation and immune challenges by assisting to maintain a healthy gastrointestinal tract and eliminate common causes of upsets, particularly in the hindgut.
• It also contains a mycotoxin eliminator to negate mycotoxins and help get your horse’s gut healthy again.

In late 2020 International Animal Health began rebranding Protexin to a new name "ProN8ure".
BENEFITS of ProN8ure:
- Establishment of beneficial gut microflora
- Suppression of E. Coli Salmonella & Aeromonas spp
- Treatment and control of scouring and diarrhoea
- Improved digestibility of feed
- Improved growth and feed conversion
- Reduced digestive upsets
- Enhanced animal health
- Re-establishment of gut microflora following antibiotics, wormers or vaccination
- Reducing stress (stress disrupts normal intestinal balance)
- Safe, non-toxic and residue-free.
ProN8ure is the most advanced multi-strain Probiotic in the world today.
Unlike many other Probiotics that consist primarily of a single strain of bacteria, ProN8ure consists of seven different naturally occurring bacteria. The effectiveness and synergy of these strains has been proven in years of trials and production application.
The uniqueness of ProN8ure is not just confined to its multi-strain formulation. Research and Development has produced a special "protection" to ensure the highest possible numbers of bacteria survive the journey through the hostile conditions of the crop or stomach, into the gut where they rapidly begin to work for the benefit of the animal.
ProN8ure's introduction to Australia makes it the first and to date, the only nationally registered Probiotic approved for administration to animals and birds.
What is a Probiotic and how does it work?
The digestive system of all animals and birds is home to literally billions of bacteria and yeasts referred to as Microflora.
Microflora are essential to the health of any animal; aiding the digestion, breaking down cellulose and other indigestible substances; helping the synthesis and absorption of vitamins and minerals; stimulating the immune system and preventing the proliferation of pathogens. (Pathogens reduce nutrient absorption, animal performance and cause disease).
Stress, in all forms is one of the major causes of disruption to the normal balance of microflora in the gut, allowing proliferation of pathogens. Loss of appetite, picky eating, scouring, poor condition and changes in temperament are some of the less consequences. Stress is easily induced with some common causes being: changes in diet, heavy work or training, temperature extremes, breeding, transportation, worming, vaccinations and changes to environment.
Use of ProN8ure in these circumstances protects horses from negative intestinal changes while improving digestive efficiency and general health.
Antibiotics are particularly harmful to gut microflora, leaving animals susceptible to re-infection. ProN8ure should always be administered following any course of antibiotics. The digestive system plays a vital role in the health, vigour and performance of horses. Its correct functioning is dependent on the level and balance of bacteria and yeasts called microflora. Microflora have the major role in breaking down indigestible nutrients, in the synthesis and absorption of vitamins and minerals, in stimulating the immune system and in preventing the proliferation of pathogens in the gut.
All horses benefit from ProN8ure's ability to stabilise intestinal microflora, maximise gut health and resist the effects of stress.

Toxin Binder has been formulated from specific ingredients that may bind harmful mycotoxins in the horse≈'s digestive tract during periods of high mycotoxin contamination. Toxin Binder is designed to bind to the polar and non-polar mycotoxins.
What is a Mycotoxin?
Mycotoxins can be found in the fungi that grow on some grasses -mainly paspalum, rye, couch and some weeds and clover. More than 500 mycotoxins have been identified to date. They are more prevalent in hot and humid conditions (spring and summer) and can also be found in some commercial feeds and hays.
About the Ingredients:
Mycosorb A+ contains two main ingredients; a specific strain of yeast and algae meal. Mycotoxins are thought to bind to this strain of yeast, thus removing them from the horse≈'s digestive tract. The algae is also thought to target and absorb different types of toxins, removing a wider range of toxins when combined.
Actigen and Ecocell are strains of yeast containing Mannan Oligosaccharides (MOS). MOS are considered a prebiotic and are thought to promote the growth of healthy gut bacteria in the hindgut. They may also boost the immune function in the digestive tract.
PowerStance is a powdered coconut oil. It may have antimicrobial actions from the lauric acid for optimizing gut health, maintaining appetite and normal digestive function.
Signs of Mycotoxin poisoning:
- Symptoms can vary widely but may include:
- Itchy skin and/or hair loss
- Scabby sores
- Stiffness
- String halt/staggers
- Wasted topline
- Sunburnt nose
- Persistent cough
- Odd sweating
- Coarse, dull coat
- Persistent greasy heel/rain scald
- Unexplained spookiness and dangerous behaviour
Mycotoxin poisoning may also cause the following without any obvious signs:
- Depleted minerals in the body
- Decreased immune function
- Negative impact on the kidneys, liver and reproductive system
- Severe cases can lead to death

Jenquine all-4-feet
Concentrated, veterinary-developed feed replacer for all horses and ponies - specifically formulated to support soundness, hoof integrity and overall health. Ideal when a low starch/sugar/NSC diet is needed or for animals ageing, convalescing, in work, or at risk of inflammatory conditions (e.g., DOD, PPID/Cushing’s, laminitis/founder, EMS, insulin resistance, obesity, tying-up, OCD).
Why choose all-4-feet?
It can replace, balance or remove the need for multiple separate feeds and supplements, including:
- Manufactured complete feeds
- Balancers
- Amino acid / muscle builders
- Hoof supplements
- Omega-3 oil
- Tying-up support
If you’re feeding two or more of the above, all-4-feet simplifies the regimen and can reduce cost - your horse gets the essential nutrients; you only add fibre and, if needed, extra salt, oil or energy.
Core feeding principles
All horses and ponies require the same essential nutrients. Total intake varies with age, weight, workload, growth, reproductive status or clinical need. Higher-demand animals (growing, pregnant, performance) simply receive more of the same foundational nutrition rather than different types.
Feeding guide

Equitec Clean Culture is a 10 day program that may benefit the health of the digestive system. It has been designed to promote the growth of good bacteria and eradicate bad bacteria by promoting the regeneration of gut flora, which in turn may increase the uptake and absorption of nutrients.
Many horses will suffer a digestive disorder at some time in their life. These may be caused by long periods between feeds, diets with a high grain intake, extended administration of antibiotics, sudden change of feed, vitamin and mineral deficiencies, ulcers or horses who are naturally highly strung. Clean Culture aims to act as a detox for the digestive system so that it may start to repair and heal itself from these disorders.
Clean Culture may be fed over the tongue or added to hard feeds. The addition of licorice powder increases the palatability of the formula, which comes in the form of a paste.
BioMOS (mannan oligosaccharide) has been added to help boost gastrointestinal health and promote the growth of healthy bacteria. The inclusion of sea minerals may boost the antioxidant content of the formula and provide essential fatty acids.
Digestive health facts:
- More than half of all horses will experience ulcers at some stage in their life.
- Horses who have ulcers will often present symptoms such as going off their feed and can appear nervous or 'hot'.

Indications:
Gastroenteritis and diarrhoea in dogs and horses.
Composition:
Bismuth salicylate 17.5 mg/mL; Bentonite
Actions
Antidiarrhoeal : The insoluble salt is converted to bismuth carbonate and sodium salicylate after oral administration. It lines the mucosal surface, absorbs toxic compounds, is mildly astringent and has protective, antacid and antiseptic properties.
Peptosyl is non-antibiotic - It will not cause bacterial resistance to develop. It is non-toxic in animals and humans, displays antibacterial activity, decreases water loss, and may also help reduce the pain of inflammatory bowel diseases.
Bismuth salicylate and other bismuth salts have been shown to inhibit plaque formation of enteric rotavirus in vitro.
The salicylate component has an antiprostaglandin synthetase effect which may enhance its action in controlling acute secretory diarrhoea.
Bentonite is a natural clay earth with properties similar to activated charcoal, and the ability to bind bacterial endotoxin.
Dosage and Administration:
Horses : 0.5 to 1 mL/kg bodyweight orally.
Dogs : 0.25 to 0.5 mL/kg bodyweight orally.

Horse Digestive Care & Probiotics
Discover our range of horse digestive care products and probiotics, designed to support your horse's gastrointestinal health and overall well-being. From digestive aids to probiotic supplements, we offer solutions to promote optimal digestion and nutrient absorption for your equine companion.
How do I know if my horse has digestive issues?
Signs of digestive issues in horses include changes in appetite, alterations in manure consistency or frequency, weight loss, behavioural changes such as agitation or discomfort, colic symptoms, gastric ulcer indicators, and teeth grinding. If you observe any of these signs, consulting with your veterinarian is crucial for a thorough examination and appropriate diagnosis of potential causes.
How can Probiotics help my horse?
Probiotics offer several benefits for horses, particularly during stressful events like transportation or competitions, after antibiotic use, during dietary changes, signs of digestive upset such as diarrhoea or colic, during recovery from illness or injury, for senior horses, and during intensive training. Probiotics can benefit your horse by promoting a healthy balance of beneficial bacteria in the gastrointestinal tract, which is crucial for optimal digestion and overall health. By supporting a balanced gut microbiome, probiotics can help improve nutrient absorption, reduce the risk of digestive upset such as colic or diarrhoea, support immune function, and aid in the restoration of gut health following stress, dietary changes, or antibiotic use. Additionally, probiotics may help enhance performance and well-being in horses undergoing intensive training or high-performance activities.
