Cell-Vital represents a new concept in providing a supplement of trace-minerals and vitamins to make-up shortfalls in the common grain, chaff and hay rations fed to horses in training.
Cell-Vital is formulated from two (2) separate Supplets blended in a 50:50 ratio to deliver a comprehensive range of nutrients to correct low or inadequate levels in the diet.
Innovative 2 Supplet blend
Brown Supplet Pellets – full range of trace-minerals with organic selenium and chromium
Golden Supplet Pellets – all essential vitamins in a separate Supplet® to eliminate trace-mineral interaction for maximum potency.
Cell-Vital is a high potency, palatable trace-mineral and vitamin supplement formulated to correct low or inadequate levels in the common feeds fed to racing and other horses, thereby effectively meeting the increased needs of the equine athlete.
Because the two Cell-Vital Supplets contain nutrients in a concentrated form to make-up shortfalls in the ration, it is best to divide the full daily amount above 20g between the morning and evening feeds to help ensure optimum uptake of nutrients, avoiding overloading of the absorption mechanism in the digestive tract.
The 50:50 blend of trace-mineral and vitamin Supplets are highly palatable and well accepted by horses, even those considered to be suspicious eaters.
The daily dose ranges from 20g a day for horses in light work to 30g daily (as 2 x 15g doses) for horses in pre-training, to 40g daily (2 x 20g doses) for horses that are in full race or upper level equestrian training.
Each 40g supplementary amount provides all essential trace-minerals and vitamins, with higher levels of many trace-minerals and vitamins than most other supplements, including...
Zinc (including organic forms) – 480mg
Iron and manganese (including organic forms) – 350 mg
Organic Selenium – 2.1 mg
Organic Chromium – 5 mg
Vitamin A – 50,000 IU
Vitamin E – 720 IU
Optimum levels of all essential vitamins
A Highly Palatable and Potency Protected Supplet® blend that eliminates Sift-Out, Dust and Sludging in the feed bin.
Pack Sizes:
1.4kg (70 days supply)
3.5kg (87 x 40g doses)
10kg (250 x 40g doses)
20kg (500 doses)
Handy Hint: Use Cell-Vital to make up the shortfalls of essential nutrients at 10g (¼ scoopful large end) per 1kg of additional grain added to boost energy in a ready-mixed sweet feed, pelleted or processed feed ration, where less than the full recommended dose of a prepared feed is provided.
Kohnke's Own TRIM is a magnesium, organic chromium and choline supplement for horses.
TRIM provides a range of important nutrients to correct low or inadequate levels in the rations of horses and ponies on weight reducing, low calorie diets. It can also be used to supplement prepared commercial low GI diets where the full recommended feeding rate is not fed and other high fibre feeds and soaked hay are added to increase the bulk of feed.
TRIM is formulated to provide specific nutritional support to horses and ponies which are overweight and obese and which have hard 'cresty' necks and abnormal fat deposits behind the shoulders and tail butt area. These signs are associated with conditions such as Equine Metabolic Syndrome (EMS) and Insulin Resistance as a result of grazing pastures and the long term feeding of sweetened or processed feeds which contain high levels of starch and soluble nonstructural carbohydrate (NSC) 'sugars'.
TRIM provides Magnesium to support metabolic function and glucose utilisation in body cells where diets are low in magnesium as well as Organic chromium which has a role in the regulation of glucose metabolism. (Chromium is known as the 'Glucose Tolerance Factor' in relation to insulin response) TRIM also contains Choline and manganese which have a role in the metabolism of fats.
TRIM also contains a range of other selected vitamins which have a role in glucose metabolism.
TRIM contains Vitamin C which is involved in the natural body synthesis of carnitine which has a role in the metabolism and breakdown of fats in the body, as well as to supplement Vitamin C as an antioxidant in tissues where natural liver synthesis from glucose may not be as efficient on a low GI diet.
PACK WEIGHT: 1.4kg; 4kg; 10kg

Cell-Vital Premium is composed of five (5) separate types of Supplets, each providing specific nutrients in a stable cold-pressed form to make up shortfalls in grain, chaff and hay diets to meet the elevated metabolic activity associated with hard, fast or prolonged exercise.
White Supplet Pellets – Calcium, Phosphorus, Magnesium, Vitamin A & D
Brown Supplet Pellets – full range of trace-minerals, including organic selenium and chromium
Golden Golden-Yellow Supplet Pellets – The Essential Vitamins
Black Supplet Pellets – Iron, Folic acid, B12, Vitamin C
Red Supplet Pellets – Live Yeast Culture, Vitamin C and E
Cell-Vital Premium eliminates the need for separate supplements of calcium, iron, vitamin E and other vitamins that substantially increase the costs of feeding. The scientifically formulated cold-pressed Supplets help ensure optimum nutrient potency even in this all-in-one supplement to the last dose in the container.
Even the way that Cell-Vital Premium is dosed is different. Because of its high potency, it is recommended that it be provided as two half doses, one in the morning feed and the other in the evening feed, to ensure optimum uptake from the digestive system.
A daily dose of Cell-Vital Premium, by combining 4 major supplement groups in an innovative form to avoid nutrient interactions, saves both time and money compared to mixing 4 separate supplements into a feed.
The daily dose ranges from 100g (2 x 50g doses) for horses weighing 400-475kg, and 120g (3 x 60g doses) for horses weighing 475 to 550kg in hard race training or upper level equestrian competition.
Available in:

BetaMARE is a concentrated, standardised chasteberry (Vitex agnus-castus) supplement to support normal balanced behaviour in mares.
Benefits:
- Promotes balanced behaviour
- Reduces irritability and mood swings
- Natural remedy for tension
- Aids focus for consistent performance
- Improves willingness to work
How does BetaMARE work?
Owning a mare often involves a rollercoaster of emotions – for both the mare and the owner! A mare’s mood swings are typically accompanied by irritability, muscular tension, erratic behaviour patterns and a generally uncooperative attitude. This quintessential ‘mare-ish’ behaviour can cause disruptions to training and competition schedules, as some mares become reactive, hard to handle or unfocused in their work.
Chasteberry has a long traditional history of use to help balance behaviour fluctuations in mares. Supplementation with chasteberry can help improve the mare’s mood, aiding relaxation and cooperation.
What makes BetaMARE unique?
A common problem with feeding raw herbs (whether whole, dried or powdered) is the variation between batches. The level of actives in raw herbs can be influenced by a range of factors such as stage of growth, season and environmental conditions (soil type, pH, water, etc). So, it is difficult to determine an effective dose unless a standardised herbal extract is used. For this reason, Kelato use a concentrated, standardised chasteberry extract in BetaMARE to ensure consistency and efficacy between product batches.
Ingredients:
Per 30mL: 450mg Chasteberry Extract, Natural Cherry Flavouring, Natural Low Sugar Sweetener (Monk Fruit), Water, Preservatives.
Directions for use:
- BetaMARE is designed to be mixed in the horse's feed.
- Feed 30- 60mL daily.
- Safe to use long-term.
- Do not use on pregnant mares.
- Shake well before use.
- Feeding recommendations are for 500kg bodyweight.

Two powerful ingredients, pure garlic and Apple Cider Vinegar combine to create a natural product with a host of health benefits for your horse.
Garlic is one of the most widely utilised herbs in the world. It has been embraced for centuries for its beneficial properties and its application for animals can even be traced back to Egyptian, Roman and Chinese cultures.
Combined with NRG’s unpasteurised and unfiltered Apple Cider Vinegar, the resulting Garlic ACV mix is a rich source of Potassium and Sulphur which is essential for healthy skin and hair and contains high levels of Methylsulylmethane (MSM) commonly used to ease joint problems.
10% Garlic has been mixed with NRG Apple Cider Vinegar, following the advice of nutritional experts. When used at the correct daily dose, Garlic is perfectly safe with no known side effects.
Note: It is recommended not feeding Garlic ACV to Pregnant broodmares as garlic can taint their milk. Do not feed Garlic all-year round and give animals a spell with feeding programs. Commonly Asked Questions
Q: How do I know if my horse needs supplements?
A: Observing your horse's behaviour, condition, and performance can provide initial clues. However, consulting with a veterinarian or an equine nutritionist is the best way to determine specific nutritional needs and the appropriate supplements.
Q: Can supplements replace a balanced diet?
A: No, supplements are designed to complement a well-balanced diet, not replace it. They should be used to ensure your horse receives all the necessary nutrients, especially those that might be lacking in their regular feed.
Q: Are there any side effects to using horse supplements?
A: When used according to the recommended dosages, horse supplements are generally safe. However, over-supplementation or using multiple products with overlapping ingredients can lead to adverse effects. Always read labels carefully and consult with a professional if in doubt.
Q: How do I choose the right supplement?
A: Consider your horse's age, activity level, existing health conditions, and specific nutritional needs. Our category is organized to help you easily find supplements targeting general health and vitality, joint health, digestive care, hoof care, and more, making it simpler to select the right product.
Q: When will I see results after starting my horse on a supplement?
A: The timeframe can vary depending on the supplement and the specific needs of your horse. Some improvements, such as those in coat quality or energy levels, can be noticed within a few weeks, while others, like joint health improvements, may take longer.
