Selovin LA contains Barium selenate, which slowly releases selenium into the body after injecting under the skin. Selovin LA works to elevate selenium blood and tissue levels in deficient states.
Selenium is a trace element that is vital for normal metabolism; it is an essential antioxidant which prevents and repairs cell damage and is a key component of proteins essential for muscle function, immune system and synthesis of thyroid hormones. Selenium is necessary for growth and fertility.
If deficient in Selenium, cattle and sheep can suffer from poor growth rates, reduced production, lower fertility and poor immunity. Young stock deficient in Selenium are also susceptible to White Muscle Disease (WMD), a condition affecting the skeletal and heart muscle, causing lameness and death from heart failure.
Active Constituents:
Selenium (as Barium selenate) 50mg/mL
Product Benefits:
- Protects against selenium deficiency in cattle for up to 12 months and in sheep for up to 18 months
- Ensures adequate selenium levels to maintain fertility, immunity and prevent production losses associated with selenium deficiency
- Cost effective management of selenium deficiency
- Convenient and safer form of selenium supplement due to the slow release of selenium following administration
- No withhold periods
Shake pack well before use to ensure re-suspension of contents.
Dosage:
Administer by subcutaneous injection high on the neck behind the ear. Take care to inject Selovin LA under the skin to avoid carcase damage.
Cattle: 1mL/50kg bodyweight
Lambs: 0.5mL at weaning
Adult sheep: 1mL
Note: Some export markets employ x-ray screening technology, which will detect radio opaque substances such as Barium selenate. Incorrect application of Selovin LA could result in injection site residues not being trimmed at slaughter leading to detection and a potential risk to meat export.
This product should not be used when selenium uptake from pasture is high or selenium is provided by other means (such as pasture top dressing, vaccine, pellets or selenium drenches) if blood selenium levels at treatment are high. Users can determine selenium status by consulting their veterinarian.
Use the contents within 28 days of first broaching.
Withholding Periods:
MEAT: 0 days
MILK: 0 days
Export Slaughter Interval (ESI): Not required.
PACK SIZE:
500mL flexipack

Marks-Min injection products for sheep contain the trace minerals selenium, manganese, zinc and with or without copper along with vitamin B12, which are required for optimal health, production and fertility.
Optimising trace mineral and vitamin B12 levels at critical times, like lambing, joining and times of oxidative stress, can have a positive impact on health, immune status and reproductive capacity of livestock.
Marks-Min provides trace minerals and vitamin B12 in one convenient rapidly absorbed injection, ensuring essential trace minerals for optimal health are available together with energy provided by vitamin B12 to help support the best response to trace mineral supplementation.
MARKS-MIN COPPER FREE OR MARKS-MIN LOW COPPER?
While copper is an essential trace mineral and the amount required increases with increased growth rate, lambing percentage and milk production, excess copper can be toxic. Plant testing is the first place to start. This will tell you whether copper concentrations are high (>12 mg/kg) and whether molybdenum (>2 mg/kg) may reduce copper availability. If the plants are high in copper and low in molybdenum, sulphur and iron, then check the blood and liver status of the sheep with your veterinary advisor. If copper supplementation is required, Marks-Min Low Copper Injectable Trace Mineral with Vitamin B12 for Sheep provides an appropriate dose of copper designed specifically for sheep.
Benefits:
Growth: Marks-Min provides elements that support growth by aiding bone, joint and muscle development and function Copper (Cu), Manganese (Mn), Zinc (Zn), Selenium (Se) and energy metabolism (Vitamin B12)
Reproduction: Marks-Min provides elements that support reproduction by aiding the development of male and female reproductive systems, the process of fertilization and also the maintenance of pregnancy (Cu, Mn, Zn, Se).
Immune Defence: Marks-Min provides elements that support immune defence by aiding function of the immune system and white blood cells that help resist establishment of infection.
Energy: Vitamin B12 plays a key role for the production of energy in livestock. Energy is required for all body processes and it is the backbone of all production.

Ausmectin Sheep Drench is a Broad Spectrum oral antiparasitic solution for control and treatment of ivermectin sensitive internal parasites including roundworms, nasal bot and itchmite of sheep.
AUSMECTIN SHEEP DRENCH contains ivermectin, a member of the macrocyclic lactone class of chemicals, which has a unique mode of action. It acts selectively in invertebrate nerve and muscle cells resulting in paralysis and death of the parasite. Therefore, AUSMECTIN SHEEP DRENCH has been used for the control and treatment of ivermectin-sensitive gastrointestinal roundworms in sheep, including benzimidazole, levamisole and morantel resistant strains of Haemonchus contortus (Barber's Pole Worm), Ostertagia circumcincta and Trichostrongylus colubriformis. It is also effective against lungworm (Dictyocaulus filaria), itchmite (Psorergates ovis) and all parasitic larval stages of nasal bot (Oestrus ovis) in sheep. Ivermectin has a long intrinsic half-life, which provides excellent residual protection against parasitic reinfestation for a varying period depending on the target parasite.
