Kongs are widely used for therapy and prevention of boredom, separation anxiety and other behavioral issues. Regular use of Kongs can also improve oral health. Their unpredictable bounce lures most dogs into a game of chase, catch and chew. The hollow center can be filled with food and treats. A dab of peanut butter spread around the inside is very effective. They are a very versatile toy!

Providing food and/or treat stuffed Kongs for your dogs can keep them contentedly busy (working) and out of trouble for long periods of time. Add more stuffed Kongs to increase their work time.

Proper Kong sizing is determined by your dogs size and chewing temperament. Always Size Up - If your dog destroys a Kong in a short period of time, try a larger Kong and/or a Black Kong. Only provide a Kong sized for the largest and/or most tenacious chewer in the house.

Approx sizing guide:

• Small for dogs 3-6kg (7cm long x 4.5cm widest diameter)
• Medium for dogs 6-15kg (9cm long x 5.5cm widest diameter)
• Large for dogs 15-25kg (10.5cm long x 7cm widest diameter)
• Extra Large for dogs over 25kg (12.5cm long x 8.5cm widest diameter)

2. Prepare for later: stuff a separate KONG and stick it in the freezer. Frozen KONGs are a greater challenge for your pup, and will keep him occupied longer. Plus, having a frozen KONG ready to go at any time can help when you have unexpected guests!
