A comprehensive supplement containing three (3) separate Supplets, combined in a scientifically blended ratio that meets the specific needs of growing and breeding horses.
White Supplets - The Major Minerals
Brown Supplets - The Major Trace-Minerals
Golden Yellow Supplets - The Major Vitamins
The ratio of calcium to phosphorus at 2.7 calcium to 1.0 phosphorus is specially matched to meet the critical mineral balance on both grass and legume based pastures, as well as diets supplemented with lucerne or meadow hay.
Cell-Grow provides the full range of trace-minerals, including copper, zinc, manganese, iodine and selenium that are often low or inadequate in the common feeds relative to needs of growing horses for sound bone and joint development, and for optimum fertility in breeding horses.
Cell-Grow is an innovative supplement that overcomes the problems of sift-out and powder loss from dry feeds fed out to paddocked horses.
Important: If you are using ready-mixed feed for growing and breeding horses and reduce the recommended rate of feeding to avoid over-energy supply because of excess bodyweight or limb abnormalities, Cell Grow is the ideal supplement that can be added to maintain adequate mineral and trace-mineral intake in growing horses.
Call the Kohnke's Own Free-call number, 1800 11 22 27, for advice on the amount of Cell-Grow to add to make up these shortfalls.
SIZES:
3.5kg (38 days supply at standard horse maintenance rate)
10kg (111 days supply at standard horse maintenance rate)
20kg (222 days supply at standard horse maintenance rate)
Features:
* Contains soluble and acidified calcium for optimum uptake and utilisation – it’s not how much calcium each dose contains – it’s the form of calcium provided that is important!
* Balanced calcium : phosphorus ratio – 2.7:1.0 in microfined limestone and dicalcium phosphate to help ensure optimum uptake to correct imbalances in all diets, plus magnesium and Vitamin A and D.
* Ideal for young race horses on high grain rations to provide bone minerals to correct low dietary intake as bones thicken and adapt to training.
* No dust, no sift-out, doesn’t blow out of paddock feeders or sludge in molasses.
* Mixes through grain rations-ideal for ‘picky eaters’.
Cell-Osteo® is not an ordinary calcium supplement!
SIZES: 3.5kg; 20kg
Handy Hint: Where extra grain is added to top-up energy in a ‘sweet’ feed or prepared grain mix, add 20g Cell-Osteo per 1kg grain to make up shortfalls in essential bone minerals.

Cell Salts is formulated to provide high amounts of potassium and magnesium in slow release form. The addition of plain, fine table salt to feed on a 'scoop for scoop' basis to cell salts is recommended to make up for shortfalls in sodium.
Feeding a combination of Cell Salts and plain salt is economical and works out to be around half the cost of comparable products, as many contain much higher levels of cheap salt (sodium chloride) and less potassium and magnesium on a dose for dose basis.
Features:
- Helps correct low sodium and chloride levels in common feeds – contains glucose to provide energy for sodium uptake.
- Provides high levels of potassium to offset slow uptake from feeds.
- Contains increased levels of magnesium to supplement poor availability from most feeds.
- Potassium and magnesium salts are coated with highly refined, stabilised vegetable oil to help extend their release and uptake - also helps to reduce dust and the "salty" taste.
- Palatable, low dust formulation.
- Note: Cell-Salts do not contain BICARBONATE as it is not an essential feed salt.
Supplementary rates are tailored to salt needs relative to feed content and exercise requirements.
SIZES: 2kg; 5kg; 15kg
Handy Hint: Cell-Salts contains concentrated levels of potassium and magnesium with adequate sodium and chloride for lightly sweating horses. As sweat loss increases, to provide sufficient sodium to correct low or inadequate feed levels, add scoopful for scoopful of Cell-Salts and ordinary salt to balance the ration to exercise needs. This is an economical way of meeting optimum dietary needs.
