TURMERIC (curcuma longa and curcuma xanthorhizza):
Known as the vibrant golden ingredient used liberally in Indian curries, turmeric has a long history of use in both Indian and Chinese traditional medicine. The inherent therapeutic properties are attributed to the vivid yellow-orange pigments (curcuminoids) that are present in turmeric. They are believed to have powerful antioxidant properties (significantly more so than vitamin E or C) and may increase the body's ability to neutralise free radicals before they damage healthy cells and cell membranes. In combination with its perceived anti-inflammatory effects, turmeric has also been known for its role in the prevention or alleviation of an impressive array conditions.
Turmeric may also be useful in reducing inflammation particularly for animals with arthritis and itchy skin.
GROUND BLACK PEPPER:
The inclusion of ground black pepper to this mix may increase the bio-availabilty and absorption rate of turmeric and Resveratrol.
POWERSTANCE (powdered coconut oil):
Stance Equine's powdered coconut oil supplement is a unique coconut delivery system that gives the benefits of this wonderful tropical oil and may also help to increase the absorption of turmeric in the digestive system. Coconut oil contains high levels of medium chain triglycerides (MCT's) which provide the body with a readily available energy source and Lauric Acid, which converts to monolaurin and may provide anti-bacterial, anti-microbial and anti-fungal properties. The benefits of supplementing animals with coconut oil may include improved digestive health, enhanced coat and skin condition.
RESVERATROL:
Resveratrol is produced in plants to maintain their general health. Normal body functioning gives rise to free radicals with production greatly increased during inflammation and stress. Resveratrol has been added to Turmericle as it is an antioxidant that may help the body efficiently detoxify these free radicals. The resveratrol is derived from Japanese knotweed.

Equitec Pro Flex is a broad spectrum joint food essential for maintaining healthy cartilage, ligaments, tendons and bones.
Glucosamine is found in tendons, ligaments, synovial fluid, mucus membranes, and several structures in the eye, blood vessels and heart valves.
Methionine is a sulphur bearing amino acid and is converted to an important component of connective tissue.
S-adenosylmethionine (SAM) has been used in clinic applications for the treatment of osteoarthritis. Unfortunately SAM is expensive, however, its precursors are not.
Methionine is a catalyst and aids in the administration of niacin amide and metabolism of glucosamine. Lysine is an amino acid that when hydroxylated by Vitamin C, is extremely important in the structure of cartilage tissue, and protein synthesis.
Proline is the amino acid that supplies the bend in the peptide chains for collagen's characteristic triple helix structure.
Zinc Amino Chelate- Zinc is required for over 70 different enzymes to function.
In this instance Zinc is used in the hydrolysis and cross linking needed for collagen formation. Zinc deficient animals have been shown to have impaired epiphysial cartilage and collagen development.
Copper Amino Chelate- Copper works in this case as a co-enzyme important for the formation of the disulfide bonds characteristic in collagen structure.
Manganese Amino Chelate- Manganese is important in this formula with its activation of enzymes needed for the binding of glucose to the other molecules that form cartilage.
Vitamin C is an essential element for the formulation of the hydroxyl groups needed in cartilage synthesis. Vitamin C deficiency results in a depressed immune system and reduced production of collagen – the protein based structure element in tendons and ligaments.
Citrus Bioflavonoid – anti-oxidant protection to mitigate free radical activity, which occurs as a result of cartilage degradation.
Niacinamide plays an important role in the anti-inflammatory response of joints to stress. It also interrupts the production of intracellular adhesion molecules.
PRO-FLEX is not a drug and is completely safe and non toxic. It may be administered even on competition day.
PRO-FLEX IS NOT a quick fix.
After a few days the horse may show some improvement however, this does not mean the horse has been cured, and administration of the product should be continued.

Jenquine all-4-feet
Concentrated, veterinary-developed feed replacer for all horses and ponies - specifically formulated to support soundness, hoof integrity and overall health. Ideal when a low starch/sugar/NSC diet is needed or for animals ageing, convalescing, in work, or at risk of inflammatory conditions (e.g., DOD, PPID/Cushing’s, laminitis/founder, EMS, insulin resistance, obesity, tying-up, OCD).
Why choose all-4-feet?
It can replace, balance or remove the need for multiple separate feeds and supplements, including:
- Manufactured complete feeds
- Balancers
- Amino acid / muscle builders
- Hoof supplements
- Omega-3 oil
- Tying-up support
If you’re feeding two or more of the above, all-4-feet simplifies the regimen and can reduce cost - your horse gets the essential nutrients; you only add fibre and, if needed, extra salt, oil or energy.
Core feeding principles
All horses and ponies require the same essential nutrients. Total intake varies with age, weight, workload, growth, reproductive status or clinical need. Higher-demand animals (growing, pregnant, performance) simply receive more of the same foundational nutrition rather than different types.
Feeding guide
all-4-feet® is an all-in-one nutrient base—add appropriate fibre and, if required, extra energy, salt or oil. Adjust gradually based on condition, workload and veterinary advice. Up to 1.5kg per day can be fed if needed. Fine-tune according to response.

Equine athletes are prone to injury. Certain injuries happen quickly but others are a result of cumulative wear and tear. Hyaluronic acid (HA) plays a vital role in maintaining the health of connective tissue and optimizing normal joint function. Synovate HA® may assist with supporting equine athletes through the rigors of training and competition. Owners and trainers of high-performance horses rely on intra-articular, intravenous, or oral HA to help protect their horses' joints.
Manage Joints Proactively:
Synovate HA® provides horses with a safe, easily absorbed, and easy-to-use form of sodium hyaluronate. The core ingredient, HA, is a naturally occurring substance found in various connective tissues in the horse's body. HA contributes significantly to maintenance of cartilage health and elasticity, joint fluid viscoelasticity, and lubrication of the entire joint mechanism. In addition, HA has anti-inflammatory properties, especially useful for high-motion joints such as those in equine limbs.
The horse maintains considerable reservoirs of HA within its body, yet as horses mature and more athletic demands are placed on them inflammation leads to breakdown of HA in the joint fluid. The loss of HA leads to lower viscoelasticity in the joint fluid and further inflammation, which can damage cartilage and make the joint disease worse. Therefore, it is desirable to manage joint care proactively with Synovate HA®.
Superior Biological Activity:
Researchers have identified differences in biological activities for HA of different molecular weights. HA with a high molecular weight (more than 500,000 daltons) has the greatest biological response. Further, high molecular weight HA created from microbial fermentation, such as Synovate HA®, has the greatest likelihood for matching the known attributes of native HA found in the horse's body.
To support your horse's joints, choose Synovate HA®.

Horse Joint Supplements
How can joint supplements help my horse?
Joint supplements for horses are designed to support and maintain the health of the joints, which are crucial for mobility, flexibility, and overall performance. There are a range of supplements available with different combinations of ingredients that can support cartilage health, reduce inflammation, promote joint lubrication, support connective tissues and improve overall joint health.
What are the different ingredients in joint supplements that will help my horse?
Horse joint supplements contain a variety of ingredients, each chosen for its specific benefits in supporting joint health and mobility. Common ingredients found in horse joint supplements include:
- Glucosamine: Often derived from shellfish or synthesised, glucosamine is a building block of cartilage and helps maintain its structure and function. It supports joint health and mobility. KER Glucos-A-Flex combines glucosamine with vitamins, minerals, amino acids and antioxidants to support joint health.
- Chondroitin Sulfate: Typically derived from bovine or shark cartilage, chondroitin sulfate helps maintain cartilage elasticity, supports joint lubrication, and may have anti-inflammatory properties.
- MSM (Methylsulfonylmethane): MSM is a source of sulfur, which is essential for the formation of connective tissues such as tendons and ligaments. It supports joint flexibility and may have anti-inflammatory effects.
- Hyaluronic Acid: Naturally occurring in the synovial fluid of joints, hyaluronic acid helps lubricate and cushion joints, reducing friction and supporting smooth movement. We like Abbey EasiFlex HA which is a liquid sodium hyaluronate.
- Omega-3 Fatty Acids: Found in fish oil or flaxseed oil, omega-3 fatty acids have anti-inflammatory properties that can help reduce joint inflammation and support overall joint health.
- Collagen: A protein found in connective tissues, collagen supports joint structure and may aid in the repair of damaged cartilage.
- Herbal and Plant Extracts: Some are believed to have anti-inflammatory properties that can help alleviate joint discomfort, like Turmeric, found in Stance Equitec Turmericle, and Epiitalis, a plant oil extract found in one of the most popular joint product ranges 4CYTE Epiitalis Forte Gel.
- Vitamins and Minerals: Some joint supplements may contain vitamins and minerals such as vitamin C, manganese, and zinc, which are involved in collagen synthesis and overall joint health.
It's important to note that the effectiveness of joint supplements can vary depending on factors such as the quality and concentration of ingredients, as well as the individual horse's needs and response. Consulting with a veterinarian or equine nutritionist can help determine the most suitable joint supplement for your horse.
Are joint supplements only for horses that are sore or old?
No, horse joint supplements are not exclusively given to old horses or only when a horse is experiencing soreness or joint discomfort. While joint supplements can be beneficial in providing relief for sore or stiff joints, they are also commonly used preventatively and as part of a proactive approach to maintaining overall joint health in horses and even enhancing performance.
