What pheromone is in Feliway and is this safe for humans?
The pheromone in Feliway is a synthetic copy of the familiarisation facial pheromone that cats use to mark objects in their environment. The actual concentration of pheromone in the air at any one time is tiny and as pheromones are species-specific, the feline pheromone in Feliway® will have no effect on humans.

Is Feliway safe to use if you are pregnant?
The Feliway Diffuser is safe to use if you are pregnant.

Can I use Feliway if I suffer from Asthma?
Feliway contains a paraffin-type mineral oil of a kind common to other air freshener devices. We are not aware of specific problems for asthma sufferers from such devices, however if you consider yourself to be particularly sensitive, or have had problems when using similar devices in the past, then we advise you to use the device only after consulting with your GP.

How long does the Feliway Diffuser last ? The diffuser should be checked monthly and replaced every six months to ensure optimum effect.

Helped my cats

It took about a week but my very stressy cat sugar is pulling less hair and generally seems happier. I also foster rescue cats and I have seen a marked improvement in their stress levrls

Great Result

I bought the Feliway diffuser as my 6 month old kitten was spraying near the litter trays. It's only been two weeks, but so far NO MORE SPRAYING! I plugged the diffuser in in the hall near the litter trays and both of my cats are using the toilet properly.

Had my doubts but seems to work!

I was skeptical at first, our two cats had been fighting a lot (one starting on the other one) and they have been together for 6 years so it didn't seem right. I'd read the reviews and thought why not give it a go. They seem to be fine, they still have the odd scrap but I think that is normal, not as bad as they were, I am going to order a refill today :-)

Waste of Money

Have an older cat and was moving house, so bought this product on the recommendation of the vet. I didn't notice any change in the cats mood so I can only base this review on my personal experience and conclude that this product didn't work. What also annoyed me was that the product didn't last as long as claimed.

Already ordered a refill

Adopted a 2-year old boy from a vet a couple months ago. He's very timid and I didn't see him at all for almost two weeks, other than hearing him rustle around at night a bit. My mother's friend (who has difficult cats) recommended that I try this, and I took the plunge. Only a few hours after I plugged this in, my cat came out to explore during the day for the very first time. In the three weeks since I first used it, he has become more and more comfortable in my room, and the adjoining rooms, and is even more friendly with my roommate (even if he still is a bit timid of strangers). 10/10, will continue to use until he is completely settled, even if it takes a few more months. I will also be using this if I ever have to leave for extended periods of time and he is being looked after by strangers (i.e. not myself or my roommate) as it helps him stay calm.
