I had great success with flea control for many years but recently I have been devistated by the loss of my precious boy because I trusted the collar to control ticks. A tick grew to maturity within inches of the collar which had been renewed less than 4 weeks prior. Talking to a rep she said they can give a 98% guarantee only and daily searching is recomended which defeats the purpose of the collar for tick control.

Dog has severe allergy to flea saliva, and Nexguard works but I hate using it because I have heard it makes dogs sick often. So I tried this collar, 2 weeks on and still scratching and biting himself. This happens evey year around this time and have been to the vets and it is fleas. Just one is enough to send him crazy. So collar is a very expensive and useless puppy decoration.

The active ingredients in Seresto collars are specially formulated for steady, dose-adjusted release that spreads over your dog, remaining in the fatty layer of the skin and coat, where they are effective against fleas and ticks all season long. The Seresto collars start providing protection within 2 hours of protection. Existing fleas will be killed within the first 24 hours of use and existing ticks within 6 hours of use.
The Seresto Flea for Dogs is effective for preventing flea and tick infestations for up to eight months. The collar doesn’t loose effectiveness over the eight months.
Seresto collars are safe to use in puppies 7 weeks of age and older. When applying the collar, make sure it is neither too tight nor too loose. Ideally two fingers fit between the collar and your dog’s neck to ensure comfort and security.
Seresto is water-resistant and will still be effective if you dog goes swimming or is exposed to rain.
