Love the applicator, so easy to use. My horses were much happier with the flavour too. Only gripe is having warmbloods (600kg ) I need to use extra tubes
my horses are very fussy about wormers. they like equiwormerLV it must be the apple flavor
First time user, great product, had the horses looking for more, even weaner where so easy to do, the pistol action is so simple and great to use.
Such a nice, handy size and grip. Dial a little too loose and can flop off the mark if the animal wants to carry on about it but it is also very palatable and will encourage better behaviour overall.
Never had any problems using this paste
Equiwormer LV Plus Tape is a low-volume, apple-flavoured all-wormer for horses. It treats and controls all common horse worms, including roundworms, tapeworms, bots and skin lesions caused by certain parasite larvae. It is safe for use in pregnant mares, foals and breeding stallions when used as directed.
At a dose of 1 mL per 100 kg bodyweight, Equiwormer LV Plus Tape delivers approximately 0.2 mg/kg of ivermectin and 1.5 mg/kg of praziquantel. It is indicated for the treatment and control of the following parasites in horses:
Equiwormer LV Plus Tape also controls skin lesions caused by Habronema and Draschia spp. cutaneous larvae (summer sores), and Onchocerca spp. microfilariae (cutaneous onchocerciasis).
Dosage and administration: Give orally at the recommended dose rate of 1 mL per 100 kg bodyweight. A single 6 mL syringe is capable of treating a horse weighing up to 600 kg.
All horses should be on a regular worming program to maintain good health and condition, with particular attention given to young horses and mares. Foals should be treated initially at 6 to 8 weeks of age, and treatment repeated regularly as required.
Equiwormer LV Plus Tape is well suited as a major product in an equine worm control program. It is effective against most types of equine helminths, including tapeworms, gastrointestinal, cutaneous and pulmonary nematodes, and bots in horses of any age. With a regular treatment program, the risk of verminous arteritis and colic associated with Strongylus vulgaris is reduced. Consult a veterinarian to develop a worm control program suited to your property and horses.
Equiwormer LV Plus Tape has a wide safety margin at the recommended dose rate of 1 mL per 100 kg bodyweight. It may be used in young foals through to very old horses. Mares may be treated at any stage of pregnancy and fertility is not affected in either sex.
Do not use less than 28 days before slaughter for human consumption.
Harmful if swallowed. Will irritate eyes and skin. Avoid contact with eyes and skin. Wash hands after use.
Single 6.4 g syringe or stud bucket of 50 syringes.
