Gentle Leader Easy Walk Harness

Notify Me When Available
The Gentle Leader Harness with front leash attachment is designed to gently discourage your dog from pulling while walking on a leash. It's so simple - easy to fit, and easy to use. There is very little acclimation time or special technique required.

Unlike traditional collars, The Gentle Leader Harness with front leash attachment never causes coughing, gagging or choking because the chest strap rests low across the breastbone, not on the delicate tracheal area.

Traditional harnesses actually encourage dogs to pull harder because of the "opposition reflex". That's the reflex that causes sled dogs to pull against pressure and do what they do. The Gentle Leader Harness's unique front-chest leash attachment stops pulling by steering your dog to the side and redirecting his attention towards you. And, its patent pending martingale loop provides extra leverage for easy, relaxed control and prevents harness twisting and gapping.

Quality Features:
  • A quick snap buckle on both the shoulder and belly straps to make it easier to get the harness on and off your dog.
  • Soft but strong nylon and 4 adjustment points provide maximum comfort and reliable fit.
  • The complementary colour of the belly strap makes it easier to identify each strap, while keeping the overall look pleasantly colour-coordinated. You can quickly see which strap goes over the shoulders and which goes under the belly.

Best harness ever!

I love this harness. My dalmatian was a puller but this harness stops the pulling & makes him easy to walk.

Oh. My. God.

This thing is INCREDIBLE!! We have an 18-month-old Cocker Spaniel who does all the things Cockers do. He pulls, sniffs everywhere, lurches etc. This harness worked INSTANTLY! It's honestly like we have a completely different dog. I am absolutely shook. Shook I tells ya! No longer will there be spilled coffees and crushed fingers. No longer shall we suffer under the reign of an excitable Cocker. We are in control! The power has been handed back to the people and it is the dawn of a new age. A pull-free age! Thanks Gentle Leader

Excellent for walking a young Labrador

Walks are easier now

Our 1 y o whippet was pulling in all directions when using a conventional collar. Only holding her lead very short made it possible to get down the footpath with some semblance of dignity. She is very energetic and easily distracted. This harness has not magically turned her into a perfect walker but it has certainly made things a lot better. She doesn’t resist the harness and seems to enjoy walking more now. The different coloured straps make it easy to put the harness on correctly . We had some minor issues with adjusting the fit as whippets are very deep chested but also thin, The plastic clasps were very stiff at first, hard to release but rubbing fine sandpaper fixed that. I’m very happy with this harness.

Cuts under front legs

I bought 2 of these one for my 4 month old puppy and 2 year old dog after having it recommended and fitted at my local pet store. I've used them twice now following their directions as well as using the instructions included and both my dogs have swollen bleeding lumps under their front left legs where the strap goes. After the second walk (where they were so misbehaved until I noticed it was from being in pain) I felt terrible and when I called the pet store they said they had seen this happen before. I feel so cruel using this harness and not sure how it can be called a gentle leader...
