Avian Insect Liquidator  will control avian mites, lice, biting insects, houseflies, mosquitoes, cockroaches and spiders in the bird’s environment. 

Avian Insect Liquidator is an extremely safe but effective insecticide and insect growth regulator for all avian species. When used directly on the bird, Avian Insect Liquidator penetrates into feathers to kill mites and lice. When sprayed around the environment it kills insects on contact and has residual action that guards against re-infestation for up to six weeks.

Two formats available: Concentrate and Ready-To-Use

Active Constituents Concentrate Form:
Permethrin 25 g/L, Piperonyl Butoxide 125 g/L, Methoprene 0.4 g/L

Active Constituents Ready-to-Use Form:
Permethrin 1.25 g/L, Piperonyl Butoxide 6.25 g/L, Methoprene 20m g/L

Avian insect liquidator

I have used this Product in its purest form for many years on my show poultry and l found it extremely reliable with an instant effect.
When l found out my lovebirds had lice my immediate reaction was to come back to this product but before with the chooks l use to mix it myself but lovebirds are a lot smaller so to play it safe l went for the premix formula and immediately had the same effect as with the concentrate. I might also say the lovebird is breeding and even though l sprayed her it has not effected her from doing her job with 3 out of 3 eggs being fertile. Prior to me using the concentrate l was using a powder and using the powder l found that the chook had ingested the powder and consequently died so from that point it’s been the liquidator. I highly recommend this product in either form

Hi, Vetafarm Avian Insect Liquidator was recommended to me for use on my poultry. I've used it and it's effective. I have 2 questions-
1). what about the lice eggs?
2). can we consume the eggs our hens lay?

Thank you for your Question.
The Vetafarm Avian Insect Liquidator contains a growth regulator. The lice eggs will not hatch.
As it is not a registered poultry product I do not have any information on withholding periods for eggs.
You would need to contact your Vet for off label use.

Can AIL be used on dogs please?

Hi Stella, AIL is only registered for use on Birds and their environment. As such we cannot recommend using the product on dogs.
