MILPRO treats and controls all major intestinal worms found in cats and dogs, including roundworm, hookworm, whipworm and tapeworm, including hydatids. When used monthly, MILPRO prevents heartworm.

INDICATIONS
Treatment and control of roundworm (Toxocara cati, Toxocara canis, Toxascaris leonina), hookworm (Ancylostoma tbaeforme, Ancylostoma caninum, Ancylostoma braziliense ), whipworm (Trichuris vulpis) and tapeworm, including hydatid tapeworms (Dipylidium caninum, Taenia spp., Echinococcus granulosus) in dogs and cats.
Prevents heartworm (Dirofilaria immitis).

COMPOSITION

Cats

40 mg Praziquantel
16 mg Milbemycin Oxime

DOSAGE & DIRECTIONS FOR USE

Animals should be weighed to ensure accurate dosing.
MILPRO Tablets should be administered orally, either with or after food.
Half tablets may be kept for use in the original blister for up to six months after the first half was used.
When administering Milpro Tablets, be certain that the entire dose is consumed. Watch for several minutes following treatment to be sure that the entire dose has been eaten. lf the entire dose is not eaten, redose as soon as possible, with the full dose.
Fleas are intermediate hosts for tapeworm (Dipylidium caninum). Effective flea control will reduce the incidence of tapeworm.
If worm problems persist, consult a veterinarian.

Precautions

Caution should be taken in the case of concurrent use of the product and other macrocyclic lactones.

Droncit is a trusted single-dose tapeworm treatment for dogs and cats. Each tablet contains 50 mg praziquantel to control tapeworm infections, including hydatid tapeworm in dogs.

What Droncit Treats

Dogs: Flea tapeworm (Dipylidium caninum), Hydatid tapeworm (Echinococcus granulosus), Sheep measles (Taenia ovis), False hydatid (Taenia hydatigena), Rabbit tapeworm (Taenia pisiformis), Zipper tapeworm (Spirometra erinacei).

Dosage & Administration

Give as a single oral dose. No fasting required. Always weigh your animal before dosing.

Higher Dose for Zipper Tapeworm

If tapeworm segments continue to appear after standard treatment, they may be Spirometra. A higher dose (4× standard = 20 mg/kg; 1 tablet per 2.5 kg) is required—seek veterinary advice before using the high dose.

Treatment Frequency

Dogs in hydatid areas: Dose every 6 weeks and prevent access to raw offal or carcasses.
Other situations (dogs & cats): Dose every 3 months, or as directed by your vet.
Treat sooner if tapeworm segments are seen.

Safety

Non-toxic, non-irritant, non-purging at recommended doses.
Safe for puppies, kittens, pregnant & lactating females, older pets, working dogs and greyhounds.
May be given with most other parasite control products.

Important Use Notes

Droncit removes existing tapeworms but does not prevent re-infestation.
Control intermediate hosts: fleas, rodents, raw offal access, etc.
If worm problems persist, consult your veterinarian.

First Aid & Storage

If poisoning occurs, contact a doctor or the Poisons Information Centre (Australia 13 11 26). Store below 30 °C. Dispose of empty packaging in household garbage.

 HOW TO USE: 

Step1: Remove Bravecto from the child proof packaging.

 Step 2: Hold the tube straight up & give the cap one twist to break the seal. DO NOT ATTEMPT TO REMOVE THE CAP AS IT DOES NOT COME OFF. 

Step 3: Ensure the animal’s back is horizontal. Part the hair and apply directly to the skin 

Step 4: Apply at the base of the skull, to ensure wet product can’t be licked. For cats under 6.5kg, apply in one spot. For cats over 6.25kg, apply in 2 spots.

How do I know if my cat has worms?

It can sometimes be difficult to identify whether your kitten or cat has worms, so we always recommend maintaining an appropriate worming schedule for your cat. There are however some common symptoms to look out for which may suggest an infestation. These can include diarrhoea, weight loss and behaviour changes such as bottom dragging or lethargic behaviour. Remember to consult your vet if your cat is displaying any of these symptoms.

How often should I worm my cat?

As a guide, kittens from 4-16 weeks of age should be wormed every 2 weeks against roundworms. Cats 6 months and older should be wormed every 2-6 months against roundworms and tapeworms - the more frequent treatment interval being for cats that hunt or are exposed to fleas.

What are the best worm treatments for cats in Australia?

Cats are notoriously difficult to give tablets, thus any non-tablet formulation can often end up easier and less stressful for both yourself and your cat. Can worms spread between cats?

Worms can be spread from one cat to another quite easily, so there’s a few simple, preventative steps you should take. Be sure to clean up any faeces your cat leaves (inside or outside the house) as worm eggs can be transmitted through the consumption of contaminated faeces. Ensure you clean your cats bedding regularly, especially if you have a litter of cats sharing a litter box.

How long will a tapeworm treatment take to work on my cat?

Most tapeworm treatments for cats will kill live worms within approximately 24 to 48 hours. Generally a follow up dosage is required several weeks afterwards to ensure any surviving larvae are eradicated. Be sure to consult the directions included with the worm treatment you have purchased for specific administration instructions.

How long will a roundworm treatment take to work on my cat?

Similar to tapeworm treatments, most roundworm treatments for cats require several doses two or three weeks apart to ensure all worms are eradicated. Consult the directions included with your chosen worming treatment for best results. Kittens are particularly vulnerable to roundworm infection, so be sure to keep up to date with your kitten’s worming schedule.
