Dimmitrol Heartworm Tablets

Of been using diethylcarbamazine citrate as a Heart work preventative sine it fist became available,

Since then none of my many dogs has contracted heartworm despite living in areas where they were rife. Daily tablets are far easier to remember and not leave your dog vulnerable, as it becomes a normal feed time routine, Not to mention the dogs NEVER get microfilaria at all.
And with a butter treat after swallowing even the most reluctant dog will accept them.
Two of my current three dogs refuse to eat 'Chewable medication. Tablet please, and Butter!
And there is the added benefit that they are significantly less expensive :-)

I have 3 Pet Shelties. Have to be so careful what they have by way of Heartworm and other drugs because of Ivermectin sensitivity. So many fancy products on the market now, uninformed pet owners can make the most dreadful mistakes.

I have been using this product for many years and have found it to be highly effective for preventing any heartworm problem. While it is not always easy to obtain when needed, I have found the availability and pricing from Vet-n-pet to be first class.

I prefer this method of heartworm treatment. I have three dogs and this is the cheapest way to do it. I also do it to continue the practice of the dogs taking and swallowing tablets, which they also occasionally have to do when receiving medication from the vet.

My Labs don't particularly like the taste of heartworm tablets, but I have no problem giving them their one a day tablet by adding the tablet to a blob of margarine on a cheap water biscuit. They swallow the biscuit (with tablet) straight down.

My dog just swallows it

Hi, thankyou that you do provide a daily heartwormer tablet for dogs, as I prefer to give this medication in this way so that my dog is used to taking tablets when/if he becomes unwell. I also had experienced problems with my dog due to a monthly heartwormer product bought elsewhere and so am grateful that vet-n-pet-direct still supplies a daily heartwormer.

have worked for generations of my dogs, Easy to remember since the dogs remind me it is tea time , I use a simple method of administration , I open up the dogs mouth , put the tablet on the back of the tongue , and the dog closes its mouth and swallows . May be best to start this method when a pup . or use on a friendly animal .

I find that my puppy dislikes the taste of the Dimmitrol heart worm tablet so I now give it to him with a peace of cheese and he has it that way from now on

Used daily tablets for years. Had trouble getting them so tried monthly. Too expensive with three dogs. Reverted back to daily.

I just pop the tablet into the dogs evening meal so there is no fuss or bother in administering the tablets and when I start to run low I just send an order through and they are delivered within the week. A very convenient service is provided.

It is very easy to give a Dimmatrol tablet to a dog. We keep a large tub of margarine & some water crackers in the dogs' kitchen fridge. Just a dab of margarine, then stick the tablet (and any other tablet) on the water cracker, and the dog just swallows it like a treat. Dogs dislike the taste of heartworm tablets by themselves, so it is important to combine the tablet with a treat, such as a inexpensive water cracker.

I place my order and within days I have the product. So easy to administer to all my dogs when preparing their evening meal. Just pop the tablet on top and it is gone in an instant. Stops the heartworm threat and gives me peace of mind.

Nice that we can get Dimmitrol from "down under." I like that it doesn't blast the system like the monthlies that we get here in the US.

Great service (fast delivery). Have used daily heart worm for years - don't want to use monthly or annual - too expensive for our number of dogs. Impossible to buy now from all major retailers so this a great service.

An effective product, and one that is easy to remember to administer since you do it each night and it becomes a habit. And the dogs remind you that it is time to be fed.

Most other heartworm preventives have the drug Ivermectin. This brand is all I can use safely. Most other suppliers do not carry what I require

We have used daily heartworm medication for years and none of our dogs have gotten heartworm. Now it is impossible to get in the US. I am so happy to find it because the monthly pills are really expensive and I've had terrible reactions from them.

I've been using the once a day tablets since our dog was a pup with no problems. The retail stores stopped carrying them so i went here. They seem to be doing the job.
