Wombaroo Insectivore Rearing Mix

The juvenile magpies and adults alike, as well as pied and grey butcherbirds were not at all keen to take beef mince with the mix. One or two birds picked a small ball of it up in their beaks, and let it drop away rather than swallow it. I think overall it was a bit of a disappointment for the money.

Partially thawed lean minute steaks cut into thin strips and dusted with the mix (2 Teaspoons per steak).
I tried mixing with mince but kookaburras 'kill' there dinner by bashing it on a branch and most of the mince falls to the Ground

Thanks guys, I do love useing Wombaroo Insectavore in my mince mix, it puts me at ease to know I am giving our feathered kids the best and they do love it
so much so if I present raw mince they turn their noses up

This product was recommended by a wildlife vet as part of a formula for an injured butcher bird. The bird had an injured eye. All better now. Great advice and product.

Being that with all the spraying via helicopters in our area over the warmer months, we have noticed that there are very little insects at all around now. This is affecting the insect eating birds like the magpies, butcher birds, drongo's, metallic starlings, currawong's, microbats and other insect dependent wildlife. The Wombaroo Insectivore Rearing Mix is a good additive to raw meats we put out for the birds to help supplement their diet.

I'm on the 2nd generation of two magpie pairs. I'll often see them pecking around in the yard and, every now and then, they'll stand outside the front door and give me a call. The occasional leftover is swooped on by the the local Currawong pair. They all look very healthy. Good stuff!

Magpies love it! Feel better knowing not harming then but giving them the correct nutrients. So easy to use.

Been using for awhile for supplement feed for my visiting magpies

We have been using this product, mixed with quality mince, for in excess of twelve months and the Butcher Birds, Magpies and Kookaburras just love it together with looking healthy. They all still savage for food in the wild as well.

It must be good because all my magpies keep coming back for more. I mix it with regular mince to make sure they are receiving the nourishment they need.

The product was competitive and arrived quickly. I think anyone who cares for the birds that they feed needs to use such a product. Meat (mince) alone does not give the birds what they need and that is particularly important at this time of year when they are breeding and the young ones need the extra that Wambaroo provides. We have Magpies, Crows, Currawongs, Butcherbirds and Pee Wee's come to our place for a snack and they all get the Wambaroo mixed with the meat

Since mixing Wombaroo Insectivore Rearing Mix with the meat for the Maggies the word has gotten out though their community and I have had an influx of numbers (not that I mind as I love having the birds around). The kookaburras also arrive on time every day and I have to now feed the Maggies at one end of the property and the Kookas at the other, otherwise the Maggies fight the Kookas for dominance. The bids really enjoy the food and are bringing their new babies to visit as well. The product is easily ordered and delivery is very quick.

Great product to give the juvenile magpie I’m rearing the nutrients it needs. Has improved it’s feather growth and overall health. Mixed with pieces of kangaroo meat or mince along with natural foraging for insects, grubs and worms etc.
