API® PIMAFIX fish remedy is an all-natural, antifungal remedy for fish fungal infections, with a formula derived from the West Indian Bay Tree – a proven natural antifungal. API PIMAFIX fish remedy rapidly treats cottony growth, mouth, body fungus, and the reddening of the fins and body, in addition to both internal and external bacterial infections.

API PIMAFIX fish remedy will not adversely affect the biological filter, alter pH, or discolor water, and has been formulated to use in conjunction with MELAFIX™ fish remedy to enhance effectiveness against fish diseases.

API® MELAFIX fish remedy is an all-natural antibacterial treatment that works to treat infections in fish. Common bacterial infections are open wounds and abrasions, tail rot, eye cloud, and mouth fungus. MELAFIX fish remedy also promotes regrowth of damaged fins and tissue. Product may be used when adding fish to an aquarium – particularly to smooth the transition from store to home – and if an infection is suspected, but not yet diagnosed. Some fish bought in pet stores are already carrying diseases at the time of purchase, which may be difficult to detect in its early stages. API MELAFIX fish remedy will not adversely affect the biological filter, alter the pH, or discolor water.

API® AQUARIUM SALT is made from evaporated sea salt and is a must-have for your aquarium. AQUARIUM SALT promotes fish health by improving gill function, making it easier for fish to breathe. It also provides essential electrolytes that fish need to reach peak coloration and vitality. These electrolytes may be lost each time you perform a partial water change, and will need to be replenished.

Use API AQUARIUM SALT in freshwater aquarium tanks when starting a new aquarium, and any time you perform a water change. Care should be taken when using salt in aquariums with live plants, as some plants may be sensitive.

API AQUARIUM SALT is intended to keep your fish healthy, and while it does promote disease recovery, it is not a holistic solution to heal and treat fish diseases. For sick fish, it needs to be used in conjuntion with other remedies.

Can API MELAFIX™ fish remedy and API PIMAFIX™ fish remedy be used together?

Yes, API PIMAFIX fish remedy can be used with all API products, including other fish remedies and treatments.

Do I need to remove my filtration media before using API PIMAFIX™ fish remedy?

Products that are designed to remove things from your aquarium, such as filter media, will also remove dosed fish remedy from your tank. For best results from fish remedy, remove your filtration media as you dose.

Should I add API AQUARIUM SALT every time I perform a partial water change?

Yes, add 1 rounded tablespoon of API AQUARIUM SALT for every 5 gallons or ½ rounded teaspoon for every gallon of water. When doing a water change, add any treatments and supplements to the new water before adding salt to your aquarium.

Can API AQUARIUM SALT create high general hardness readings?

API AQUARIUM SALT will not affect the hardness levels of your water.

Does API AQUARIUM SALT affect the tank pH?

API AQUARIUM SALT does not raise or lower the pH levels in your tank.

I think my fish has a fungal infection. Can I use API AQUARIUM SALT to get rid of it?

API AQUARIUM SALT is intended to keep your fish healthy, and while it does promote disease recovery, it is not a holistic solution to heal and treat fish diseases. API BETTAFIX™ fish remedy, PIMAFIX™ fish remedy, and FUNGUS CURE™ fish remedy are all options that API brand offers to combat fungal infections. These can all be used with the added support of API AQUARIUM SALT.
