About this item
Permetrol is an insecticidal spray and rinse concentrate for dogs and horses.
Horses:Use for the control of pyrethroid sensitive flies - buffalo fly (Haematobia irritans exigua), stable fly (Stomoxys calcitrans) and biting insects (Culicoides sp.). Also an aid in the treatments of Queensland Itch.
Dogs: Use for the control of fleas (Ctenocephalides felis, Ct canis) and ticks (adult Rhipicephalus sp.). Also an aid in the treatment of allergic dermatitis(summer eczema).
DIRECTIONS FOR USE:
This product should not be used on cats and animals under 12 weeks of age.
When diluted in methylated spirits, the product should not be used on broken skin.
Dogs: Dilute 10mL per 400mL of water or methylated spirits if rapid drying is required.
Horses: 10mL per 400mL water. Spray as required for fly nuisance. For Queensland Itch [Culicoides bite hypersensitivity] spray twice weekly until Buffalo Fly symptoms abate, then as required.
ZONE CONTROL: To obtain maximum flea control, treat the animal's environment by cleaning the bedding and resting places and then regularly spraying the entire area with the diluted product. Treat all pets in the house with a suitable product. Vacuum/clean the carpets and surroundings regularly. Continue treatment all year round. If flea problems persist, seek veterinary advice.
WITHHOLDING PERIOD (HORSES): NOT TO BE USED on horses intended for human consumption.

I bought Permetrol to stop the little black flies, and mosquitos from biting my horses. It works really well, and as a concentrate, is very economical. Win for the horses!
This worked fantastic, my mare had an injury so I needed something to repell flys for more than a few hours, this did the trick for a few days.

Have used just about every fly and insect spray ever invented, Permetrol ranks in my opinion as one of the WORST. Simply not strong enough when mixed as per the directions, Soaked one of my horses legs almost to the skin while shoeing him, 10 minutes later the flies were back. Won't be buying it again
My horse is frightened of spray bottles and pour-ons (no idea why and hasn't responded to attempts to re-educate him). So I used this as a shampoo, after having already shampooed him several times with fruit smelling shampoos. He was happy with the other shampoos and I used a a fruit juice bottle to mix this in. Then I was able to pour it on in small patches and work it in. Combo of familiar with shampoos + apple smell + not bad smell of Permetrol = success!!
my new mare was covered in ticks. This stuff is great and get rid of them good. I also use it for fly spray
This was easy to dilute into a 1 litre spray bottle. Unlike other products we have tried it did not cause our dog to sneeze nor did it irritate his eyes. On a really "bad" fly day it lasted over 3 hours. On a "low" fly day lasted all day.

Can I use this on cattle

Using the Permetrol on cattle is off label use.
You will need to check with a Vet if it is safe to do so.
We do have products specific to cattle.

Thank you for your Question.
You can either spray or rinse your dog in the Permoxin.
You leave it on the dog.
The dilution rate is 10ml permoxin per 400ml of water.
