- Artificial pouches for old, sick and orphaned animals
- Veterinarians: use on operating tables and in recovery rooms
- Reptiles: Place at one end of vivarium or enclosure so reptile can move on or off the heated area. Cover with layer of sand or flat rock

This heater produces a temperature on the pad surface of about 20°C above room temperature
When room temperature is less than 10°C.
Animals should be as close as practicable to the pad surface.
When room temperature exceeds 10°C.
Animals should be insulated from the pad surface by inserting layers of woollen fabric between them and the pad. The thickness of insulation required will depend on the room temperature and should be adjusted so that the animal appears comfortable.
Measure the temperature where the animal rests with a thermometer. It should be between 25°C and 35°C, depending on the age and type of animal.
Seek professional advice if unsure of your animal's needs.
Young animals can rapidly suffer heat stress if the temperature is too high.

This heatpad is great - it's not too hot and my elderly, arthritic cat loves sitting on it on cold days. It seems very sturdy and high quality and I'm not concerned about leaving it running overnight. Of all the things I've bought her to sleep on or in, this is the only one she's really taken to - I wish I'd bought it for her earlier at the start of winter.

As a vet nurse we have found this to be very handy in the surgery, so when I stared breading puppies I decided to get one. Now I have 2 and recommend them to all my friends as they are also good if your animal is unwell or for these cold nights for the dog/cat that will not wear a coat. As it has a waterproof coating you can just wipe with a damp cloth to clean, ever so easy to maintain.
Works well, nice and big. Wrong cat has taken a liking to it!! Rather expensive, but if it lasts for years it's worth it.

I am just wondering how long does the power last on these heater pads? Will they automatically close down or will they last for as long as you keep it on ? Any help is appreciated

The heat pads cool down as soon as the power is turned off.
Depending on what the surrounding temperature is or if the pad has a blanket on it to how long it takes to actually cool.
