Black Dog Wear designed and manufactures the Official Collar for the Victorian Greyhound Adoption Program and they've used this experience to produce the Sighthound Collar (for Greyhounds, Afghans, Saluki, Borzoi, etc).

Because the head size of most of these breeds is smaller than their neck, keeping a collar securely fitted can pose problems. This design will tighten if a dog tries to slip its collar, while the extra thick webbing and tapered throat pad ensures that your dog's neck and soft hair are protected and supported.

While this collar is designed specifically for Sighthounds, it may also be used on many soft haired breeds such as Vizslas, GSP's, or Dobermans, as long as the collar is large enough to be fitted over the dog's head.

This is due to a commitment to the Greyhound Adoption Programs around Australia which use Apple Green as their official colour collar. GAP collars are only awarded to dogs who have successfully completed GAP retraining programs for retired racing greyhounds and are used by rangers to quickly identify these retrained greyhounds.
Black Dog Wear has undertaken not to produce Apple Green Sighthound and Whippet Collars to help maintain the integrity of these retraining and adoption programs.

Over the years Black Dog Wear has developed a very successful range of Sighthound Collars. After many requests for a collar for Italian Greyhounds, this elegant and practical collar has been designed specifically for the breed.

The collar has a 25mm wide tapered neck pad in soft black webbing and an adjustable collar strap in a contrast colour.

This collar is fitted over the dog's head and has a martingale tightening action for security.

Black Dog collars are constructed to last a lifetime of robust wear, and to look great while doing it.

The Black Dog Wear treat Pouch is designed to hold food while training. The Spring Mouth Opening makes it easy to get your dog's favourite rewards quickly and easily, yet the pouch springs closed with the touch of a finger - to keep treats secure while you are moving around.

The Treat Pouch material is coated for easy cleaning. 

The Pouch has a Waist Belt attached. It has 2 mesh pockets (for holding a training clicker, or plastic bags to pick up after your dog, etc) and a D Ring on the front to hold a lead.

Black Dog has worked with Whippet breeders to scale down the sighthound design and produce this elegant and practical collar specifically for the breed.

This Whippet Collar has a wide, tapered neck pad in Black contrast webbing and a tightening action for security, so your dog can't slip its collar.

The Black Dog Wear Adjustable Grooming Loop clips to a Grooming Arm and has the integrated Side Release Buckle to easily connect and release the dog.

It can be adjusted to suit an individual dog's height without needing to adjust the Grooming Arm.

The loop can be used to hold a dog's head steady, or 2 can be used together - one on each front leg - to support and control the dog's front end.

The Hands Free Training Belt can be used for a wide range of training activities, including training a dog to walk comfortably at your side.

For Trainers using rewards, it leaves your hands free for a clicker, or treats and allows you to pay full attention to your dog while training.

The Hands Free Belt is great for walking, or jogging with your dog. It is worn tightly on the hips so it is secure and comfortable, even with large dogs. It is a wonderfully flexible tool for any serious trainer.

This is Mk3 of the very popular Hands Free Training Belt. Black Dog Wear have made it easier to use, simpler to fit and stronger.

With Mark 3, reflective strips have been added into the Belt webbing so you can be easily seen at night, and the supplied Adjustable Lead islonger - to allow the HFBelt to be used with a Balance Harness, or with shorter dogs.

**Limited slip collars have replaced the Black dog Heavy Duty Training Collar.

Now available in all colours for the collar strap with black loop.

The New Loop Design uses a narrower, high density webbing, with a smaller clip to make it easier to fit. The loop design means the clip never takes full pressure from a pulling dog, so we are able to use a smaller clip to make it easier to feed through the main D ring.

A Limited Slip is a security collar - designed to tighten if a dog pulls on the lead, making it difficult for a dog to slip its collar.

Black Dog's unique "Clip on" design means you can adjust the collar to exactly fit your dog's neck - because this collar is not fitted over the dog's head. This type of collar is recommended for Malamutes or Huskies, or any dog where strength and security are paramount.

This collar is similar in effect to Black Dog Training Collars, however  a different set up has been used to achieve the tightening.

Selection of the most appropriate style comes down to a personal preference - some trainers say the Limited Slip sits flatter on a dog, others prefer our Training Collar design.

The Black Dog Wear Brace Lead is made from one piece of webbing, knotted around a swivel connector at the top - this enables the knot to be loosened and the arms to be adjusted, one shorter, the other longer.  It's very handy if you walk 2 dogs of different sizes.

The Brace connects to your normal lead for walking 2 dogs, or if you are game, connect 2 brace leads to walk 4 dogs!

The Treat Pouch Sock is a removable liner which fits snugly inside a Treat Pouch. It protects the pouch from sticky food residue and can be easily removed for washing, or to keep food fresh in the fridge. 

With a sock fitted, the Treat Pouch will work quickly and easily as intended - no need to work with cumbersome or environmentally unfriendly plastic bags inside the Treat Pouch. Perfect for those roast chicken or devon sausage motivated doggos.
