Have used Frontline Plus over 8 months, two days after applying the dog got a paralysis tick. Now changed to Advantix as it was recommended to me by friends and professionals. I live in a bushy QLD area, no ticks so far. I check the dog daily.

I live in North Qld and have a Shitzhu Maltese and also a German Shepherd I use this product all year round. I use monthly from February to June, then fortnightly from July to January when paralysis ticks are worse. I find Advantix to be extremely effective and my dogs have never had any problems with the product.

I've used this on our German Shepherd for several years now and it has proved extremely effective. I only use it during the spring / summer months when the ticks are active. I live on acreage on Brisbane's western outskirts were the paralysis ticks are particularly bad. I've never had a problem with ticks on the dogs (we also have a Miniature Schnauzer) when using Advantix. Almost as an aside (as I'm primarily concerned about the ticks) the dogs also don't suffer from fleas when using this product. I haven't noticed any ill effects on either dog from using the product.

Live near creek,loads of ticks, haven't seen any on my dogs and that goes for fleas too.

A good product but it is a chemical so I carefully monitor the use of it mainly only use it during tick season so far with excellent results no fleas not ticks.

I have been using this product on both Bassets and Labradors for senveral years. Regular application has ensured no fleas or ticks of any kind all over Australia!

Been using this for 18 months without any problems. Before this was using one which included heartworm, but don't need heartworm down in Tassie. Some protection from ticks is a good safeguard too. A lot more to put on than the Revolution I used before, but that doesn't really phase me.

My dog Tyson has been treated with Advantix for as long as it has been available. before that he had Advantage. When the product came out which also kills ticks I didn't hesitate to upgrade. My dog has NEVER had a flea or any other troublesome mite.

In combination with preventic collars and a flea and tick shampoo, my dogs have come from being flea invested to being absolutely flea and tick free - so nice to not see them happy and not scratching their lives away.

The working dogs are now covered for ticks and fleas with Advantix no more scratching.
