FRONTLINE PLUS is indicated for the treatment and prevention of flea infestation and control of brown dog ticks, paralysis ticks and biting lice on dogs and puppies.

FRONTLINE PLUS has a rapid onset of action and kills re-infestations with newly acquired adult fleas for at least one month. FRONTLINE PLUS also prevents the development of flea eggs, larvae and pupae produced by adult fleas acquired for three months after treatment.

FRONTLINE PLUS controls brown dog ticks for up to one month, and paralysis ticks for up to two weeks after application. Daily searching of dogs is necessary to minimise the risk of tick paralysis. Searching should continue throughout the paralysis tick season.

FRONTLINE PLUS may be used in the treatment and control of Flea Allergy Dermatitis in dogs.

FRONTLINE PLUS may be used as the only product for flea control as it breaks the life cycle on the animal and in it's surroundings by killing all stages of fleas.

Dogs may be treated with FRONTLINE PLUS following bathing and shampooing once they are dry.

The product will spread over the coat of the animal within 24 hours. Once spread, FRONTLINE PLUS is water fast. It is recommended not to bath or shampoo dogs during the 48 hours after treatment. Thereafter, bathing, water immersion or exposure to sunlight will not reduce and efficacy of FRONTLINE PLUS.

Safety:

FRONTLINE PLUS has demonstrated a significant margin of safety for use in dogs and puppies over 8 weeks of age and in breeding, pregnant or lactating bitches.

Treatment Frequency:

Fleas: Monthly application is recommended. All animals in a household should be treated at the same time (for household cats use FRONTLINE PLUS for Cats). It is especially important to treat all household animals if any pet is allergic to fleas (flea allergy dermatitis).

Paralysis Tick: Two weekly application is recommended. While FRONTLINE PLUS provides control of paralysis tick for up to 2 weeks, use of this product does not guarantee prevention of tick paralysis because ticks are not killed immediately after attachment. Daily searching of dogs is necessary to minimise the risk of tick paralysis. See your veterinarian for advice on searching techniques and tick seasonality.

Brown Dog Tick: Monthly application is recommended.

Biting Lice: Treat all household dogs at the same time.

I wouldn't buy this product again

Don't know why it doesn't work on this little pet as it has worked in the past on previous pet. I guess not 1 product is right for all. Shame it has to be such an expensive trial.

The dot method makes application clean for the person. For the pet - it is easy to limit the product to an area not available to licking. I have washed the dog 3 days later and the product continues to be effective. Given that my Westie is prone to flea allergy, I have been pleased to note that (over a period of two years or so) her allergy has reduced markedly, even when she has been reinfested. In all, an easy to use and effective product.

Helps with the flea problem

We have been using Frontline Plus for about 2 years, & it does aid in keeping the fleas down on our 2 dogs. It does however, need to be used in conjunction with other flea products, such as Fido flea shampoo & flea rinse.

Frontline plus is the only flea product on the market I would recommend. Excellent for dogs who suffer flea allergies causing hair loss. Also being water fast, your dog stays protected even when out walking in the rain.

This product used to work for us, but in the last couple of years the fleas seem to have become immune to it - it has absolutely no effect. Our house became full of fleas and we had to switch to another product.

It's 18yrs since we have encountered fleas! It must have been just the right conditions for them I shared 2 of this size vial between my 4 toy dogs, one being 2kg and another 3 kg, the others 4 kg. No fleas and every economical for me :) I will continue use as we have new animals next door so maybe they were the culprits! :-\

I now live in a area with a large number of fleas and this is the first flea treatment I have used. My dog still has live fleas on her, that die after approximately 12 hours or so. Wish the fleas died a little quicker...
