The Gentle Leader reduces unwanted behaviours like excessive leash pulling, lunging barking and jumping and is perfect for keeping your dog under control during walks. Perfect for anxious or hyperactive dogs and puppies. The Gentle Leader Headcollar features two soft nylon straps - the collar portion fits high at the top of the neck, and the nose loop fits loosely and comfortably across the base of the muzzle. The Gentle Leader® Headcollar is not a muzzle. When fitted properly, your dog is free to open his mouth to eat, drink, pant, fetch, bark and even bite - except when you close his mouth by pulling on the leash.

The Gentle Leader is available in 3 sizes and 5 colours, black, blue, fawn, purple and red.

Choosing the correct size of the Gentle Leader Headcollar for your dog is easy. All you need is the approximate weight of your dog, with the exception of breeds with specifically larger or smaller than normal heads.

Small - Fits dogs and puppies that will have an adult weight of 5-10Kgs. Includes toy breeds and small dogs with a narrow, small muzzle. Examples: Toy Poodle, Lhasa Apso, Dachshund, Bichon, small Sheltie, Pomeranian, Shih-Tzu, Basenji, Fox Terriers, Jack Russells, Beagles etc.

Gentle leader Fantastic

We have a SP (pup and growing)who loved to pull this way and that, our arms were not enjoying this and as she got bigger it got worse.
Miracle with this new lead!
It took a few practice sessions in the backyard then off she went.
It’s been the only lead that has help her, no more pulling on her poor neck.
I would recommended this for standard poodles.
No more pulling and walking is now a joyful experience for all.
She’s got used to it quick and she now waits until it’s put on and walk…yes walks out the front door.

Not a good product for a strong pulling dog

It lasted for two weeks only. My 10 month old Rhodesian ridgeback was pulling so much, the treads were coming out.

Gentle Leader does what its name suggests.

A stall holder at a market recommended Gentle Leader when she saw me being dragged around by my lovely but very strong dog. I ordered online and received a swift delivery. While a bit fiddly to work out at first it’s now easy to put on over my dog’s head. She immediately stops pulling. My back no longer hurts after dog walking. It’s light, and ingeniously designed to give control to the human while gentle on the dog. The head collar did not come with instructions on how to use but a search found an instructive video.

Gentle Leader Headcollar - It Works

My 18 month sheprador doesn't really like it, however, I don't really like being pulled down the street either .. The collar slows my mutt down to a gentler pace and walking has become a much more pleasurable experience. Consider purchasing if your dog pulls hard on the lead.
