About this item

SHARK NET is a concentrated blend of Glucosamine & Chondroitin Sulfate with MSM, Ascorbic Acid & Manganese.

Dose Rate:

80mg/kg body weight.

For an average 500 kg horse the initial dose rate is 20g (1 large scoop) mixed in feed twice daily for 25 days or until improvement in condition is noted. This dosage delivers 10,000 mg Glucosamine, 4,000 mg Chondroitin and 16,000 mg MSM per day, along with synergistic levels of Manganese and Ascorbic Acid.

A maintenance dose of 32mg/kg body weight may then be followed. Give 8g (2 small scoops) twice daily (16g per day) for a 500 kg horse. This dose delivers 4,000 mg Glucosamine, 1,600 mg Chondroitin and 6,400 mg MSM per day.

Prior to & during competition or periods of physical stress or as required depending on severity of symptoms or condition, return to larger dose rate.

LOVE MY SHARK NET- TALLY-25 YR OLD WARMBLOOD

My 17hh 25 year old (today) has been back on Shark Net the past few months and it shows. Added to both feeds daily it shows if every I go off it which I did a few years ago and never will again. It seems to loosen up Tally's Joints which makes him a nice big fella to be around. I am hoping to get back to some gentle riding soon so Im glad Ive had him in it for the past 6 months. Also PetnVet in QLD Jimboomba are the best and always have the best price, I buy the 5KG and save heaps making it the best price in Australia... Well done guys and Gals , our horses cost us a lot to look after when they have special needs like mine, so every bit of saving helps us continue to care for them like they need, Cheers Yvonne and Tally ( Talented Arrow - Warmblood Foaled back in 1996 ) ... PS Very Fast and safe Shipping too even in Covid times it arrived intact and quickly- Many Thanks Again :)

Best Joint Supplement

My old eventer developed arthritis at 11 and I’ve spent so much money over the years trying every different kind of joint supplement, injections, Natural therapies etc. The only one that worked consistently was Shark Net and it never upset his sensitive gut either. Awesome product.

At what age should you start feeding this product? I know its good for older horses but I can also see people feeding it to young ones to support their development, just wonder what age should you star them on it?

vet-n-pet DIRECT

Hi Kirsty

I have checked with the Manufacturers regarding what age you can start feeding it.
Here is their reply:
As breeders of performance horses ourselves we commence feeding Shark Net at weaning to help guard against OCD. A number of big TB studs use it on their Yearlings in preparation for the big sales like the Magic Millions as they see benefits in the pre sale x-ray reports.
The important thing to recognize is that it is much better to prevent the damage than to be trying to repair it.

I hope that helps

Cheers

Lisa
