In late 2020 International Animal Health began rebranding their product which was formerly known as Protexin to a new name "ProN8ure".
BENEFITS OF ProN8ure:
- Establishment of beneficial gut microflora
- Suppression of E. Coli Salmonella & Aeromonas spp
- Treatment and control of scouring and diarrhoea
- Improved digestibility of feed
- Improved growth and feed conversion
- Reduced digestive upsets
- Enhanced animal health
- Re-establishment of gut microflora following antibiotics, wormers or vaccination
- Reducing stress (stress disrupts normal intestinal balance)
- Safe, non-toxic and residue-free.
Stress, in all forms is one of the major causes of disruption to the normal balance of microflora in the gut, allowing proliferation of pathogens. Loss of appetite, picky eating, scouring, poor condition and changes in temperament are some of the less consequences. Stress is easily induced with some common causes being: changes in diet, heavy work or training, temperature extremes, breeding, transportation, worming, vaccinations and changes to environment. Use of ProN8ure in these circumstances protects horses from negative intestinal changes while improving digestive efficiency and general health.
Antibiotics are particularly harmful to gut microflora, leaving animals susceptible to re-infection. ProN8ure should always be administered following any course of antibiotics.
The digestive system plays a vital role in the health, vigour and performance of horses. Its correct functioning is dependent on the level and balance of bacteria and yeasts called microflora. Microflora have the major role in breaking down indigestible nutrients, in the synthesis and absorption of vitamins and minerals, in stimulating the immune system and in preventing the proliferation of pathogens in the gut.
Foals are born with a sterile gut which is rapidly colonised by both beneficial and pathogenic bacteria. A fine balance exists which can easily be disrupted, leading to scouring, ill thrift and other problems. Feeding ProN8ure from birth protects the foal from pathogens, improves digestive efficiency, enables better utilisation of feed and makes the transition from milk to solid feed easier.
All horses benefit from ProN8ure's ability to stabilise intestinal microflora, maximise gut health and resist the effects of stress.

VAM Paste for Horses & Dogs
VAM Paste is a comprehensive vitamin, amino acid and mineral supplement formulated to support the nutritional needs of horses and dogs. It provides a concentrated source of essential B-group vitamins, amino acids and trace minerals that may be beneficial during periods of training, competition, stress, recovery, illness or increased nutritional demand.
Suitable for both performance and companion animals, VAM Paste helps support normal energy metabolism, healthy red blood cell production and overall wellbeing.
Key Benefits
- Provides a concentrated source of B-group vitamins, amino acids and trace minerals.
- Supports normal energy metabolism and nutrient utilisation.
- Assists in maintaining healthy red blood cell production.
- Helps support animals during training, competition and periods of increased stress.
- Provides nutritional support during recovery from illness or periods of reduced feed intake.
- Suitable for horses and dogs.
How VAM Works
B-Group Vitamins play a vital role in energy production, metabolism and normal cellular function. Because many B vitamins are water soluble and not stored extensively within the body, regular supplementation may be beneficial for animals with increased nutritional requirements.
Amino Acids including Lysine, Methionine and Glycine are essential components of protein synthesis and support the maintenance of muscle tissue, normal growth and overall body condition.
Trace Minerals such as Iron, Copper and Cobalt contribute to the formation of healthy red blood cells and haemoglobin, helping support oxygen transport throughout the body.
VAM Paste is formulated to provide readily available nutritional support for horses and dogs when dietary intake alone may not meet increased physiological demands.

Kohnke’s Own Energy Gold is a highly palatable, premium oil supplement with added Vitamin E.
Energy Gold is a premium ‘super cool’ oil and fatty acid supplement, designed to deliver daily energy for performance, stamina and coat shine.
Blended from cold-pressed, virgin Australian sourced oils, Energy Gold is a slow release, non-fizzy source of omega fatty acids, offering natural anti-inflammatory benefits and improved muscular function, as well as enhancing coat and skin health for a glossy shine.
Energy Gold is garlic flavoured to please reluctant eaters and contains no preservatives or sugar, making it suitable for grain or sugar-sensitive horses and ponies as an energy source or coat conditioner.
Dr John Kohnke’s special Energy Gold formulation provides a ratio of omega-3 to omega-6 fatty acids that make it superior to other oils, such as linseed or flaxseed, which are only palatable in small amounts.
A specific balance of omega fatty acids can offer benefits for overall health including anti-inflammatory properties, and improvement in gastric, muscle and immune function. Energy Gold is also uniquely boosted with an optimal, fat-soluble source of vitamin E as an antioxidant for muscle and cellular function in exercising horses.
Energy Gold is specially designed to have flexible dosage rates with small amounts to encourage a show-winning shine and larger supplementation rates for cool energy.
Which Horses Benefit?
• For all horses as a fat source in the feed for daily energy - ‘cool’, slow release energy
• Provides energy without sugar or starch for horses which are sensitive to sugar or prone to laminitis
• As a coat conditioner supplement for equestrian and show horses.
• An omega fatty acid source for common or basic rations for working horses
• As a slow release energy source for horses needing fat-based energy for performance, strength and stamina over long periods of training, racing and competition.
• Especially for balanced energy profiles for equestrian and racing horses on high grain diets which are prone to tying up, excessive ‘fizz’ or lack of staying power from shortfalls in daily energy intake.
• To increase palatability of feeds and supplements provided to fussy eaters. Garlic flavouring is particularly beneficial to mask medications or unpalatable feeds and supplements.
• Mixer for pastes to ensure slow uptake for optimum absorption (ie Mag-E calming paste, Gastro-Coat paste).
Supplementation Guidelines:
Commence Energy Gold supplementation in a step-wise manner over 14 days, increasing the amount fed by 30 mL every three days. It may take up to 6-8 weeks for a horse’s digestive system and metabolic processes to adapt to a higher level of fat in the feed as an energy source during exercise.
AS A COAT CONDITIONER / MAINTENANCE SUPPLEMENT
For all horses, including grazing or resting horses and ponies to improve coat shine and condition.
Add 12mL for each 100kg body weight daily to the feed. ie 60mL for a 500kg horse.
OMEGA FATTY ACID SOURCE FOR COMMON OR BASIC RATIONS
For general working horses to provide cool energy and improve coat condition plus the natural benefits of balanced Omega-3 to Omega-6 fatty acid ratio.
Add 15 – 20mL for each 100kg body weight daily to the feed. ie 75 – 100mL for a 500kg horse.
AS A SLOW RELEASE ENERGY SOURCE
For working horses needing energy for performance, strength and stamina over long periods of training, racing or competition. For athletic or performance horses on high-grain diets.
Add between 125mL and 250mL daily to the feed for horses 400 – 600kg body weight.

What is Omega 3 Flaxseed Oil?
Omega 3 Flaxseed Oil (Linseed Oil) is a high-quality plant-based source of balanced Omega-3, 6, and 9’s, providing a source of calories. It is first cold pressed, chemical free, human grade and also provides antioxidants which may help detoxify free radicals from the body.
Additional benefits include supporting the horse’s immunity, skin and coat health, and supporting joint and hoof health.
Flaxseed Oil does not contain starch or sugar which are used to provide energy. Further, one cup of oil provides the same calories as approximately two and half cups of grain. The absence of sugar and starch makes Flaxseed oil suitable for all horses including those suffering metabolic issues, ulcers and hot behaviour.
Stance Omega 3 Flaxseed Oil supports lifestyle enjoyment for you and your horse.
How can Omega 3 Flaxseed Oil help your horse?
Coat and Skin Health:
Studies show that Flaxseed Oil can support a horse’s coat and skin health, including shinier, softer, and healthier coat. Flaxseed Oil has been shown to support common skin issues such as dryness, itching, and inflammation.
Support for Joint Function:
Studies show that the Omega-3 fatty acids present possess anti-inflammatory properties, which can aid in reducing joint inflammation and supporting joint mobility. Horses suffering from arthritis or joint stiffness may benefit from this supplement in their diet.

iO Apple Cider Vinegar 6% with Vitamin B1 and Garlic helps support the immune system by discouraging harmful bacteria while promoting beneficial gut bacteria.
Used as a regular part of feeding, it is believed to assist with arthritis and joint conditions. Apple cider vinegar helps acidify the stomach for optimum digestion.
Quick Facts & Benefits: As a natural insect control, Apple Cider Vinegar has been known to cause thiamine (Vitamin B1) to be excreted through the skin, repelling flies and mosquitoes. Optimum levels of B vitamins (particularly B1) in the body seem to discourage bugs.
Apple Cider Vinegar is prepared from low acid, low tannin dessert apples, which are crushed and then fermented. The product appears cloudy but settles to form a sediment or curd at the bottom of the container. Apple Cider Vinegar also contains Vitamin B1 2g/L. Horses are able to synthesise Vitamin B1 in the colon by bacterial action, however, further supplement of this vitamin is beneficial in horses fed poor quality pasture, hay and grain.

What is BetaCALM Paste?
BetaCALM Paste is a fast acting, effective and convenient supplement specially formulated for nervous, hot or stressed horses. Each BetaCALM Paste contains a unique formulation containing the optimal level of Tryptophan plus four herbal ingredients to enhance the calming effect.
For longer term calming use BetaCALM Powder.
How does BetaCALM work?
BetaCALM Paste is a combination of natural herbs and the optimal level of L-Tryptophan, which can be used to create a calming effect in horses that are nervous, excited or stressed.
- Tryptophan: An essential amino acid that stabilises the horse’s mood for a less excitable temperament. Tryptophan is not produced naturally by the horse and beneficial levels are not provided in feed. Tryptophan is converted in the body to serotonin, which helps to induce a feeling of calmness.
- Black Cohosh: A herbal extract commonly associated with mild relaxation in periods of stress or anxiety.
- Passion Flower: A herbal extract that supports a calm and relaxed disposition.
- Hops: This herbal extract contains several nutrients including volatile oils, tannins, flavonoids, organic acids, vitamins, minerals and trace elements. Often recommended as a tool against anxiety and stress, hops has a calming effect.
- Ginger Root: Is believed to aid in the availability of dietary nutrients for digestion and metabolism and to facilitate the utilisation of available energy resources, thus soothing the horse.
Remember, there are many factors that can cause undesirable behaviour in horses including diet, age, training, housing, pain and digestive conditions. It is best to discuss your horse’s diet and history to determine whether changes in feeding and management of practices are also required to reduce anxious behaviour. To help manage nervous horses, try providing constant access to forage, small meals and reduce starch/sugar in the diet. Also, decreasing stable time and providing equine company is very beneficial for mental health.
Long term behaviour problems are frequently associated with digestive conditions. In this case, use Kelato’s GastroAID Recovery.
- BetaCALM Paste is designed to be mixed in the horse’s feed.
- Dial the syringe to provide a 10mL per 500kg horse.
- Give 1 hour prior to a stressful event.
Sizes
- 30mL syringe in a single carton.

in-sandout is the new intestinal sand removal solution for your equine partner. Sand ingestion leads to devastating issues in horses.
Sand can be consumed inadvertently by horses that are maintained on sandy soils, short pasture or fed hay or grain in sandy areas. This sand then accumulates in the large colon. Problems associated with sand accumulation include chronic and intermittent diarrhoea, weight loss and colic. It may further impair gut health due to irritation and obstruction of the intestinal tract.
Research shows that psyllium husks & magnesium sulphate in combination, at a proper dosage, are effective at removing and limiting accumulation of sand & mitigating sand-related issues. However, an issue with feeding psyllium husks on their own is many horses dislike the taste and texture of the high inclusion of this fibre.
in-sandout pellet is a sand removal solution that contains quality psyllium husks & magnesium sulphate with an optimised dosage regimen. in-sandout is formulated as a pellet with natural flavours & sweeteners for optimal intake & palatability.
in-sandout can also be used in conjunction with in-sideout, in-force, in-stride, in-fusion msm & in-fusion ha.
Benefits of in-sandout:
- Stimulates gastrointestinal health & motility
- Supports removal & avoids accumulation of sand
- Highly palatable & easy to feed
- Sugar-free
- Backed by science

Kohnke’s Own FABBY is a multi-action digestive supplement for horses.
Kohnke’s Own FABBY is formulated using the latest scientific knowledge in probiotic and prebiotic research to help optimise the digestive efficiency of the hindgut (large intestine) in all horses. The highly concentrated probiotics, multiple premium prebiotics and other hindgut activating nutrients comprise a unique and powerful formulation that is suitable for horses of all ages and dietary intakes.
The Premium Probiotic and Prebiotic Supplement with Hindgut Activators
FABBY is an acronym for the many benefical active ingredients which naturally help your horse’s gut microbiota!
Features specific nutrients with dietary roles in:
- Functional fibres for hindgut activation
- Active yeast components to foster growth of good bacteia
- Beneficial prebiotics to help conversion of feed to energy
- Broad spectrum mycotoxin binders to help minimize digestive issues
- Yeasts & other live probiotics to help balance hindgut populations
Probiotics:
The probiotics in FABBY include highly researched and equine-targeted live yeasts plus bacteria including Lactobacillus and Bifidobacterium strains. These probiotics are highly concentrated (18 Billion CFU per maintenance dose) and actively reduce hindgut acidosis without artificial buffers. Acid imbalance in the hindgut can cause serious problems, including acidic build up, hindgut ulcers or ‘cow-pat’ manure. FABBY protects against negative effects of hindgut starch overload in horses consuming high starch diets. The live yeasts in FABBY are also proven to boost digestion of fibre sources for improved condition in ‘hard keeper’ or ‘poor-doer’ horses.
Prebiotics:
FABBY includes multiple prebiotics to help feed ‘good bacteria’ populations to positively influence the hindgut microbiota. These prebiotics have been proven to help adapt to new diets, especially after sudden feed changes and improve conversion of feed to energy in horses with inefficient digestive function.
Active Yeast Components:
Active Yeast Components are specially purified parts of the yeast cell, including MOS (mannan oligosaccharides), B-glucans and nucleotides which are designed to block attachment of infectious ‘bad’ bacteria and the action of pathogens in the hindgut. The purified nucleotides in FABBY benefit digestive function and regenerate the gastro-intestinal lining. The combination of these Active Yeast Components may reduce scouring or loose manure in horses with poor hindgut microbiota balance.
Functional Fibres:
The functional fibres in FABBY are a special blend of digestible and indigestible fibres which are designed to stimulate important areas of the gastro-intestinal tract for improved function, helping to regulate food passage through the digestive system. Optimising the working of the hindgut is an important process in healthy manure production and general good digestion.
Mycotoxin Binders:
The mycotoxin binders in FABBY constitute a broad-spectrum approach using multiple types to counter a wider range of mycotoxins, but are specially selected to not absorb or bind other feed nutrients, such as vitamins. FABBY is formulated to help horses exposed to feed ingested mycotoxins (up to a moderate level) and reduce risk of digestive upsets or problems in horses with feed sensitivities.
Specific Amino Acids including L-Glutamine:
Specific amino acids such as L-glutamine are particularly included as it helps to regulate passage of manure through the gastro-intestinal tract and also feeds the cells lining the digestive system with energy to optimise digestive activity and maintain normal barrier function. The combination of ingredients in FABBY are uniquely designed to help the entire hindgut and its contents.
Proven Results from Extensive Research:
FABBY has been research tested for over 3 years in field trials with over 100 Aussie horses. Trial owners reported their horses particularly benefited from optimised hindgut function, reduced loose manure or scouring issues, better utilisation of feed to maintain condition, plus visibly improved general health and vitality, even in situations of stress, change in feed or hay, lack of pasture, age, infirmity or high grain/starch diets.

Kohnke's Own Donkey Supreme is a scientifically blended supplement which provides all major minerals, trace-minerals and vitamins to correct low or inadequate levels in the diets of breeding, growing, working and aged donkeys.
Many donkeys are used to keep the grass mown in small areas and house paddocks and often graze weeds and rough plants which horses and other animals leave. They are gentle, lovable companion animals which don't need high energy prepared feeds or grain based diets. Often their rations are low or inadequate in bone minerals, trace-minerals and vitamins necessary to meet their needs for growth, pregnancy and general good health and longevity. Aged donkeys often suffer bone and arthritic problems.
Donkey Supreme has been formulated to make-up the short falls in the diets of donkeys when grazing on grass pastures, browsing on plants and being fed poor quality diets based on hay and straw to avoid laminitis and to maintain them. Donkey Supreme is the world's first supplement for donkeys of all ages and activity.
Features:
- Based on a blend of 3 cold-pressed Supplet pellets to NRC (2007) guidelines for donkeys.
- The innovative Supplet blend eliminates sift-out, dust, sludging and nutrient interaction in feeds - in fact, many donkeys at grass can be offered the supplement off the hand or mixed in a small amount of chaff or finely chopped carrots or apples as a treat.
- Provides bone minerals for growing and aged donkeys of all sizes.
- Simply calculate the dose rate relative to your donkey's body weight.
- Regular supplementation with Donkey Supreme will help to maintain health and vitality, optimum coat condition and assist the immune response.
Donkey Supreme - it's not just a horse supplement, it is a supreme supplement especially formulated for donkeys to meet their specific nutrient needs and dietary balance.
SIZES: 1.4kg; 4kg; 10kg
Handy Hint: Give your donkey(s) a regular treat of Donkey Supreme off the hand – even twice weekly is adequate for middle-aged donkeys! Growing, pregnant or aged donkeys may require daily supplement to meet their specific nutrient needs.

VITAMIN B1 INJECTION provides the essential vitamin Thiamine.
How Does It Work?
Thiamine (Vitamin B1) plays an important role in the metabolism of carbohydrates and energy production for all cells. Thiamine is most important in the breakdown of pyruvic acid a waste product in hard working muscles along with lactic acid. In any situation where carbohydrates are the major energy source or when glucose is added to the diet thiamine requirement is increased significantly.
Thiamine is essential as part of the coenzyme which is involved in the breakdown of glucose for energy.
Thiamine in conjunction with Vitamin B6 (Pyridoxine) is essential in the metabolism of proteins and amino acids. Thiamine has effects on all tissues. The most sensitive are nerves stomach and heart.
Free Thiamine cannot be stored in the body and it is rapidly absorbed from the intestine or blood as well as from injection sites. Like all B Complex vitamins Thiamine is water soluble so it is rapidly absorbed and excreted from the body and requires regular supplementation especially in hard working animals when dietary input will probably not be sufficient.
Thiamine is found in both meat and cereal products. Small amounts are manufactured in the gut as long as horses are not under stress.
Thiamine in food is destroyed by cooking. Beef loses up to 75% of its Thiamine when cooked.
High doses of Thiamine are reported to help calm nervous or over excitable horses.
Clinical signs of Thiamine deficiency include fatigue muscle weakness loss of appetite and increased heart rate. (This may be an important factor in endurance horses fed high grain diets).
Many of these signs can be traced back to increased tissue levels of lactic and pyruvic acids. Nerve cells are particularly dependant on carbohydrate metabolismand normal nerve function is greatly effected by increased levels of these acids during hard work.

None

Give 5 - 10mL by intramuscular injection regularly twice weekly or as advised by a veterinary surgeon.

Collovet is a restorative and appetite stimulant. It is formulated to provide those essential elements most often lacking in an animal recovering from illness or subjected to severe bodily exertion caused by intense or prolonged exercise, high standards of production or performance.
Collovet is an extremely palatable water soluble liquid manufactured in Australia by Ruth Consolidated Industries Pty Ltd. It is readily accepted by all animals, increasing mental alertness and capacity for muscular work. It is most useful where animals are suffering from performance or handling stress and where they are off their feed or suffering from "training off syndrome" or recovering from illness.
It is especially helpful during intensive training programmes to maintain progressive conditioning or to assist in overcoming post-competitive fatigue or to promote "bloom" in show animals.
- Stimulates appetite
- Improves nervous "tone" in animals undergoing training, schooling or racing.
- Improves capacity for muscular work
- Conditions animals for show or sale and promotes a healthy bloom to the coat.
- Keeps animals eating and keeps them growing. Especially helpful where animals are off feed and racing horses and racing camels are “training off”.
WHAT DOES COLLOVET CONTAIN?
Active Ingredients: Potassium glycerophosphate - 24.0g/L ;
Ferric ammonium citrate - 23.0g/L; Sodium glycerophosphate - 21.8g/L;
Caffeine citrate - 12.0g/L;
Manganese sulphate - 2.2g/L; Thiamine hydrochloride- 0.2g/L
HOW DOES COLLOVET WORK?
High performance animals are subjected to many small stresses often overlooked, but which when combined, often have a serious effect on performance.
To counteract these performance restraints Collovet contains 7 key elements:
1. STOMACHICS which stimulate the gastric juices and help get the performance animal back on its feed.
2. IRON - a source of organic complexed iron to help build up haemoglobin levels in the blood stream and increase the supply of oxygen to the muscles.
3. STIMULANT - which increases the activity of the central nervous system and gives the performance animal a sense of well being and improves the muscular efficiency.
4. POTASSIUM AND SODIUM - to help replace body metabolites which can become deficient under stress of racing, eventing, polo, endurance or heavy training.
5. ORGANIC PHOSPHORUS - helps in the transfer of energy to muscles.
6. B COMPLEX VITAMINS - in natural form - to convert carbohydrate to energy and help tone up the nervous system, leaving the performance animal alert not flighty.
7. VITAMIN B1 improves appetite and helps calm the racing animal.
WARNING: COLLOVET contains Caffeine. If used in performance animals, the regulations of the relevant authorites should be observed.
WHEN SHOULD I USE COLLOVET?
Hard conditioning of racing and performance animals usually induces a condition of mental as well as physical stress. Collovet is designed to assist in overcoming or minimising this stress. It should be used when any of the following occur:
PERFORMANCE STRESS caused by hard training and racing. Typical symptoms include - "off feed" or "training off" syndrome, depression, listlessness and general unwillingness.
HANDLING STRESS such as transport, extremes of weather, heat and humidity, handling, confinement, not enough rest and accidents.
SICKNESS STRESS. Collovet can be used as supportive therapy, to improve appetite and assist recovery and promote bloom. During periods of post-operative and general convalescence Collovet will hasten recovery and ensure more normal functioning.
AS A DIETARY ADJUNCT to promote appetite, to improve growth rates and offset losses in production due to unthriftiness, lack of vigour and debility.
AS A MILD STIMULANT Especially helpful for young animals which are weak and undersized at birth and prove difficult to rear.
AS A RESTORATIVE used as supportive tonic therapy in association with more specific therapy used for the treatment of troublesome and non specific persistent conditions.
NOTE COLLOVET IS NOT A SUBSTITUTE FOR APPROPRIATE VETERINARY THERAPY.
COLLOVET is an extremely palatable tonic and is readily accepted by all animals.
HOW DO I ADMINISTER COLLOVET?
Collovet is a water soluble liquid which can be dosed in the drinking water, milk, feed or drenched. Collovet is highly palatable and well accepted by animals of all ages. Used as directed, it does not cause digestive upsets, nausea or vomiting. Collovet should be administered each day for at least 5-10days, depending on the level of response required.
During heavy training, give Collovet to prevent the racing animal going off feed. After racing, give Collovet to aid speed of recovery.
DOSE:
Depends on the live weight of the animal.
Recommended Dosage:
30 ml per 100kg liveweight or 15ml per 50kg liveweight. Give half the dose in the morning and half in the evening.
Continue for a minimum of 5-10 days depending on the response required.
WARNING IF USING ON ANIMALS DUE TO RACE CHECK WITH YOUR RELEVANT RACING AUTHORITIES TO DETERMINE WITHDRAWAL TIMES.
WHEN DO I NEED TO WITHDRAW COLLOVET?
WARNING: because COLLOVET contains caffeine it is subject to racing rules in many jurisdictions. Users are warned to abide by their respective Racing Authority's rulings and to check the warning on the label.

Grazaid is a palatable powder combining:
- Organic and volcanic toxin binders with enzymes to trap and deactivate mycotoxins;
- Gut conditioners and prebiotics to strengthen the body’s natural defences and support a normal population of beneficial gut microbes; and
- The macro-minerals magnesium, sodium and chloride to enhance dietary intakes where levels may be inadequate.

Toxin Binder has been formulated from specific ingredients that may bind harmful mycotoxins in the horse≈'s digestive tract during periods of high mycotoxin contamination. Toxin Binder is designed to bind to the polar and non-polar mycotoxins.
What is a Mycotoxin?
Mycotoxins can be found in the fungi that grow on some grasses -mainly paspalum, rye, couch and some weeds and clover. More than 500 mycotoxins have been identified to date. They are more prevalent in hot and humid conditions (spring and summer) and can also be found in some commercial feeds and hays.
About the Ingredients:
Mycosorb A+ contains two main ingredients; a specific strain of yeast and algae meal. Mycotoxins are thought to bind to this strain of yeast, thus removing them from the horse≈'s digestive tract. The algae is also thought to target and absorb different types of toxins, removing a wider range of toxins when combined.
Actigen and Ecocell are strains of yeast containing Mannan Oligosaccharides (MOS). MOS are considered a prebiotic and are thought to promote the growth of healthy gut bacteria in the hindgut. They may also boost the immune function in the digestive tract.
PowerStance is a powdered coconut oil. It may have antimicrobial actions from the lauric acid for optimizing gut health, maintaining appetite and normal digestive function.
Signs of Mycotoxin poisoning:
- Symptoms can vary widely but may include:
- Itchy skin and/or hair loss
- Scabby sores
- Stiffness
- String halt/staggers
- Wasted topline
- Sunburnt nose
- Persistent cough
- Odd sweating
- Coarse, dull coat
- Persistent greasy heel/rain scald
- Unexplained spookiness and dangerous behaviour
Mycotoxin poisoning may also cause the following without any obvious signs:
- Depleted minerals in the body
- Decreased immune function
- Negative impact on the kidneys, liver and reproductive system
- Severe cases can lead to death

What are Hemp Hulls and Hearts?
Hemp hulls are the shell of the hemp heart/seed that remains after the seed has been extracted. Commonly Asked Questions
Q: How do I know if my horse needs supplements?
A: Observing your horse's behaviour, condition, and performance can provide initial clues. However, consulting with a veterinarian or an equine nutritionist is the best way to determine specific nutritional needs and the appropriate supplements.
Q: Can supplements replace a balanced diet?
A: No, supplements are designed to complement a well-balanced diet, not replace it. They should be used to ensure your horse receives all the necessary nutrients, especially those that might be lacking in their regular feed.
Q: Are there any side effects to using horse supplements?
A: When used according to the recommended dosages, horse supplements are generally safe. However, over-supplementation or using multiple products with overlapping ingredients can lead to adverse effects. Always read labels carefully and consult with a professional if in doubt.
Q: How do I choose the right supplement?
A: Consider your horse's age, activity level, existing health conditions, and specific nutritional needs. Our category is organized to help you easily find supplements targeting general health and vitality, joint health, digestive care, hoof care, and more, making it simpler to select the right product.
Q: When will I see results after starting my horse on a supplement?
A: The timeframe can vary depending on the supplement and the specific needs of your horse. Some improvements, such as those in coat quality or energy levels, can be noticed within a few weeks, while others, like joint health improvements, may take longer.
