About this item

Administering tubes of paste to horses can be a problem. The Worming Bit is an ideal solution.

The required worming paste, mineral supplement or other tube-based remedy is firstly fitted into the plastic bit. The bit is then slipped into the horse’s mouth, and the strap placed over the ears where it is pulled up firm. The tube content can then be expelled in a controlled and convenient manner.

The paste or remedy is placed correctly on the back of the horse’s tongue where it can not be expelled.

The Worming Bit has a familiar feel for the horse, thus calming the animal.

Accepts all sizes of paste syringes.

i was very disappointed with the worming bit some of the worming paste fell out on the ground instead of going in the horses mouth

This is the best

This worming bit is literally the best invention. It’s so easy. My horse is difficult to worm and I wormed him in about 1 minute with the bit. It’s great because it positions the tube further back than manual worming so there is no spitting out or wastage of wormer. I’m recommending it to everyone who wants an easier was to worm. Because it’s one size fits all it was a little bit big for my horse as he’s still growing but you can easily slide the bite across so the tube guide sits comfortably in your horses mouth.

While this product does make it easier to worm your horse, if your horse smells the worming paste it can still be extremely difficult to worm the horse, so alot of extra training needs to go into being able to use this bit, i.e filling paste tubes with molasses or apple sauce then using with bit, otherwise smart horses figure out what is going to happen.
