EQUIMEC Tape (previously known as Equimec Plus Tape) combines ivermectin and praziquantel to provide complete protection against all major equine parasites, including potentially life-threatening tapeworms.
Active Ingredients:
- 77.5 g/kg Praziquantel
- 15.5 g/kg Ivermectin

EQUIMEC Tape has a wide margin of safety at the recommended dose and may be used in horses of all ages. Mares may be treated at any stage of pregnancy, and stallions may be treated without affecting fertility.
Dose Rate:
1.29 g (1 mark on the plunger) per 100 kg bodyweight, given orally.
One syringe treats a 600 kg horse. Each weight marking on the plunger delivers 1.29 g of paste, sufficient for 100 kg bodyweight.
Suggested Parasite Control Program:
Treat all horses due for treatment on the property at the same time.
- Foals: Treat initially at 6–8 weeks of age, then continue routine treatments.
- Young horses, brood mares, yearlings and horses with high reinfection risk: Treat every 6–8 weeks.
- Horses lightly stocked in large paddocks: Treat every 10–12 weeks.
All horses should be included in a regular parasite control program. Consult your veterinarian for a program suited to your property and management conditions.
