Abamec LV is a low-volume, double strength pour-on drench designed for the treatment and control of internal and external parasites in beef and dairy cattle. Containing 10g/L Abamectin, it delivers broad-spectrum parasite control with a simple backline application and a zero-day milk withholding period.

What Abamec LV Controls
Gastrointestinal Roundworms
Effective against adult and immature stages of:
- Barber’s pole worm
- Small brown stomach worm (including inhibited stages)
- Small intestinal worm
- Intestinal nematode
- Stomach hair worm
- Hookworm
- Nodule worm
- Whipworm
- Thin-necked intestinal worm
- Intestinal threadworm
- Large lungworm
Lice
- Long-nosed sucking lice
- Short-nosed sucking lice
- Biting lice
- Little sucking lice
Cattle Tick
Aids in the control of cattle tick. Not recommended as a replacement for strategic dipping programs.
Sustained Protection
At the recommended dose rate, Abamec LV provides ongoing protection against small brown stomach worm for up to 14 days after treatment and lungworm for up to 28 days after treatment.
As with all drenches, resistance can develop. Use as part of a well-planned parasite management program.
Dose & Application
Dose Rate: 1mL per 20kg liveweight.
Apply to the skin along the backline.
Best Practice Dosing
- Weigh a representative sample of cattle before treatment.
- Dose to the heaviest animal in the group.
- Draft cattle into weight ranges where there is large size variation.
- Do not underdose.
- Cattle over 650kg should still be dosed at 1mL per 20kg.
