They twist and fabric gets damage.

My dog needs shoes because she is allergic to grass and weeds. Unfortunately these didn’t work as expected, my dog runs a lot and the boots keep rotating so the fabric got damaged within a month. Also, they are not waterproof and the material around the leg is leather and it caused her blisters. We got some from Temu at $20 (4paws)and lasted longer as the boot is longer avoiding the twist and the material is softer around the leg she manage to get the damaged too but at least is $20 instead of $150 and waterproof too
I don’t recommend them if your dog is active it might work for senior dogs but I still fin the leather hard on their skin.

Boots are great

I bought the boots for my elderly Golden Retriever who has a degenerative spinal condition. He has lost a lot of strength in his hind quarters and struggles at times to,get up off our tiled floors. He relies on his front paws to,do,the pushing to get up but sometimes his front paws or back paws slip making it harder still for him to be mobile. The boots are wonderful because his paws stay put. He is able to stand up with no slipping making it easier all around. The need to buy the boots became urgent when he did something to his back and suddenly lost a lot of mobility. He was unable to get himself up without assistance. Getting the boots helped so much while he was like this. Things returned to some level of normal after a week or so but we are still using the boots daily just to make his life easier. It’s really a case of managing his condition in these last months so he is comfortable. He adapted very quickly to the boots and doesn’t seem at all bothered by them.

Ruff wear grip dog boots

These boots are a great fit and protect my Newfie's front feet which have arthritis. He limps without them. Much better than pain killers!

BUY THE SOCKS!

I've read many reviews about these Ruffwear Booties. My dogs run 80-100km per month and glass and spills over the road became a hazard and injury.
AFP booties ($40 for 4 booties) lasted 150km before burning through the sole.
Ruffwear Booties picture so far after 100km yes the tread has worn down on my paw dragging dog but the central sole is still long lasting and protective from glass.

Draw backs? GET THE SOCKS! I wish Ruffwear advertised this more heavily, before my lead dog ended up with blisters on all his toe knuckles and badly rubbed dew claw that he ran away from the shoes this is within the first 10km of having them.
The boots are almost "too sturdy" built human sports socks don't cut it due to the precise size of the boot (I tired)

But now the skin is healed, wearing ruffwear socks and the shoes are heavily broken in. The dogs can't be stopped.

I wouldn't be disappointed if I had to replace my lead dogs shoes every 10months as I replace my own runners every 500km hes a paw dragger, companies can't help that. My other dogs shoes 100km in still look brand new they will be a life time pair!

Great quality

I purchased these boots for my dog as she has very sensitive foot pads and often tears them after running or a decent walk. we had tried several solutions first. She got used to them very quickly. Her foot measurements are right between sizes, she is a working dog mix of koolie, collie and kelpy with a few extra additions :) i got her size 1.75 although as the back feet are slightly smaller than the front i probably could have got a size down for the back feet.
They were very easy to put on but without ensuring they were on very tight the front shoes slipped just under her jew claws so they hanging over the top, i didn't think this looked comfortable but it didn't happen when they were on very firm. They didn't appear to slip and she didn't seem at all bothered with them on nor did her gait change, she even tried them out running. her feet looked good with no trapped moisture when i took them off after about 7kms. I was a bit paranoid that i would loose them, they are certainly not the cheapest dog shoes but hey did not fall off at all and the price is definitely worth it for they quality and you can see from the image below, very fetching ;)

Stays on very well.

I purchased the Ruffwear boots to protect my dogs toe as he was healing from a bone infection. They have never come off even when he is running at full speed through the bush. Great purchase and I would recommend them.

Bought for very old Goldie with aging & arthritic mobility issues. Have tried other shoes that have ranged from poor to good. These are fantastic. Easy to put on, they stay on, I assume they are comfortable because my Goldie’s mobility improved significantly. We’ve been using them for about a week (many hours daily) Occasionally one has slipped around to upside down but this doesn’t appear to impede or bother my girls mobility and it’s really easy to shift back into place & tighten a little.
Highly recommend for quality, function, & ease of use. I have not washed them as yet so can’t comment on that. Well worth the money.

Best dog shoes ever. We use them with socks. My dog loves his shoes. We have worn them fossicking and on grass and mud and polished floors. Exceptional grip in all areas. ( assistance dog)

Caused paw injuries

The booties caused friction wounds to the bony prominences on my dog's paws. Would not recommend at all.

Bad fit

These are such a bad purchase.
I haven’t asked for my money back.Serve me right I should of tried them in a shop.
The fasteners will never hold these up.The sole is built so it has to fold up the leg and this I think pulls the boot down.
No matter what we did within 5-10 metres they fell off.
They might fit another breed besides a French bulldog but I doubt it.A smaller will not solve the issue
Sorry,I’ve never given a bad review for anything,at $160+ dollars I think people need to know

Pretty good

I like these doggy boots but they could be more flexible. My pup struggles to walk in them because they don't bend with the paw at all so it is harder to get used to than other doggy shoes we tried. Other than that we are very happy with them.

Excellent

I couldn't believe how happy our dog was to wear these boots. After the initial hilarious weird walk, she was running around happily. Haven't had time to determine how long they will wear for but the sizing is right and the fit is good. I bought the socks too and they make the boots much easier to put on and help with comfort, I would imagine. Important to get check sizing for front and back paws.

A difficult task

We now have boots too big but ok when she had her feet bandaged from op and now the second order boots too short, width is ok. Understand that whippets may be difficult to find a correct fit! She has had CORNS operated in front feet and vet recommends boots for her now but we still don't have well fitting ones. Your thoughts?

Disappointed

Got them for my shepherd to use with her wheelchair, sadly the boots were not tough enough and only last not even 2 weeks before they were worn right through. Really disappointed

Gave sores

I would love to give a 5 star review, but I can't. we have a harness in the same brand and its been amazing and super well wearing. Bought 4 boots and socks for my Rhodesian ridgeback. The sizing guide was great, they fit well and seem well made. But they are quite short in length and for some reason rub on his dew claws. Leaving sores!! Won't be able to use again and only had 4 uses. Also did come off his back feet a couple of times which I think is their shorter length. (I did buy different sizes for front and back)

Best purchase ever

Our 13 year old Labrador has been slipping and sliding around in the back legs for a while now, we weren't super optimistic that she'd deal well wearing shoes, but thought it was worth a try, from the minute we put them on her, she regained all her confidence and they have stopped her slipping around on our slate tiles. We purchased 2 pairs, and swap them around as she only needs them on her back feet. These are expensive, but worth every cent.

Good product

Very happy with these boots. It did take a little trial and error to get the fit just right but once I worked it out they stayed on, even when running. I also had the sock liners in use with the boots as recommended and my dog had no rubbing or blisters, except for where one of his dew claws had slipped out and rubbed on the top of the boot. I used a little pet bandage to cover the dew claws and put the liners and boots back on with no more issues. We were in an area with lots of tiny cactus and other small thorned plants and these boots were a godsend and saved my dogs feet. Very happy with my purchase. Although they are pricey, they do the job very well.

Tough dog boots

Great boots for a dog who drags his legs. Only ones that protect him enough.

Great boots, Happy dog

My almost 14 year old German Shepherd has a degenerative spinal condition causing her hind quarters to sway and dragging her hind feet so that she wears her nails from above. Our vet suggested boots as a way to give her grip and also prevent her nails from becoming infected. She is now on her 4th pair - each pair lasts her about 3 months but they have really helped her walking ability both outdoors and indoors. Our house has a mixture of tiles and timber floors so all slippery. She also attracts attention as many people assume they are worn for fashion rather than to support her walking :)

Bought to protect his Nails

My daughter has a pair for her Staffie and recommended getting our one and a half year old Kelpie the Ruffwear boots because he kept breaking his nails at dog parks and around my pool. The 2 times we've used them two have fallen off but I think we need to get better at putting them on. Luckily I bought the bright colour so I could easily retrieve them. I bought the socks as well for his comfort. I got a size bigger for the front paws. I measured his paws on and off for two days until I narrowed down the measurements - and I got it right. I would advise doing multiple measurements as there were big differences in my results at first. The boots and socks are good quality and looks like they will last a long time. They also give him good traction. I'm very happy with my purchase, they cost just over what one Vet's visit costs me. He's had 3 or 4 vets visits and one surgery because of broken nails. I should have bought them sooner, but they're there when I need them now!

Unsure

They are a very well made product but I am struggling to keep them on my pooch. They become very thick when you wrap the straps around them. Not a very cushioned sole but I guess that doesn't matter much.
I am currently endeavouring to 'soften' them up a little.... perhaps that will help.
