Does not control Heartworm in dogs.

Hi I have purchased Aristopet all wormer for dogs and puppies 50 tablets. On receiving the product I am confused if this is a worm preventer or treatment as it gives no dose frequency on the pack. How often should I give it to my two dogs as a preventer? With other brands it is monthly to also prevent heartworm. Thank you

The Intestinal worm tablets do not prevent your dog from getting worms, none of the Intestinal worm tablets do.
They kill the worms that the dog may have. They are a bit like a house cleaner, they clean out whatever the dog may have picked up.
A good Intestinal worming protocol to follow for adult dogs is once every 3 months.
Puppies need to be wormed more frequently.
They should be wormed every two weeks from two weeks of age until 12 weeks then monthly until 6 months of age and then they can go onto 3 monthly treatment.
Heartworm preventatives need to be given monthly.

I have a puppy 5kg. Do I break in half wormer tablet that says 1 tab for 10kg weight?

Yes you can break a 10kg tablet in half and give half the tablet if your dog is 5kg and under.
Please note when giving chews you can not break them in half. They need to be given as a complete chew.

You should only need to give one dose and repeat every 3 months for adult dogs.
If the dog has a very heavy worm burden you may need to repeat, but please check with your Vet if the dog has a heavy worm burden.
