Great product!

I use this product to worm my chickens. So much better then worming liquid. Avitrol worm tablets are a fantastic product, works well and you can confirm they have definitely been wormed and with the correct dose! Can hide the tablets in corn kernels, blueberries or simply put the tablets straight into their mouths. It isn’t a product that’s been made to use in chickens but it’s a such a good worming product to use. We withhold from eating the eggs for 7 days after worming.

Only your vet is authorised to provide accurate advice in the use of preparations contrary to the label instructions***

We are unable to give off label advice, sorry.

Sorry I am unable to answer your question but your Vet will be able to assist if it is safe to use and at what dose if it is safe.

I know this isn't registered for use in poultry, do you have a recommendation for poultry worming tablets? My hens are frustrating and refuse to drink the water mix solutions.

I’m thinking my chooks may have gape worm what would be the best treatment for this

vet-n-pet DIRECT

Hi Jo
Thank you for your question.
Avitrol Plus is not registered for use in Poultry.
You need to be 100% sure that your poultry have Gape Worm and that you are not confusing the symptons with something else, for example a respiratory Infection, as both symptoms are similiar.
Gape worm is not a common ailment in Poultry however having said that it is not impossible for them to get it.
You will need to seek Veterinary advise for a diagnosis.
I hope that helps
Cheers
Lisa
