Owning a pet who has diabetes is emotional enough,but to have lots of dollars to pay out is a strain on the budget. It's so good to save money but at the same time purchasing syringes in quantity and quality help make it affordable to keep our dog happy and healthy.

The fine needle is easy on your veins; and if your gear is any good the small barrel volume is never an issue.

I have an 8 yr old Jack Russell x Chihuahua who recently became diabetic, now on Caninsulin. I'm also an ex Registered Nurse experienced in giving human diabetics insulin injections. I compared the 40 unit Caninsulin syringes available from my vet, with the Braun 40 unit insulin syringes I found online; & found the Braun to be much better quality & gave much less pain & stress to my dog. The needles are finer ( ie smaller puncture wound) but also stronger grade stainless steel (ie. do not bend as easily as the Caninsulin needles do). The surprising bonus was that they are cheaper too.... So I can only highly recommend the Braun 40 unit insulin syringe over the Caninsulin 40 unit syringe for anyone currently looking for insulin syringes who have to give Caninsulin injections to their dog. Please be aware that different insulins from Caninsulin may need different insulin syringe & needles due to unfortunate differences in unit measurements on syringes. eg. I cannot use human insulin syringes to inject my dog because the 'unit measurements'are different.

Good quality product, as good if not better than the ones from the vet.

This is a great value product at nearly half the price of the normal insulin syringes that I buy. The smaller gauge makes giving my dog, his twice daily injections, so much easier. He barely feels it going in, where as with the other needles, he had been quite responsive. Would highly recommend this product to anyone looking for insulin syringes.

Our dog has recently been diagnosed with diabetes. We need syringes to give him his insulin twice a day. This was the way to buy them. Much cheaper than the vets, half the price!
